Pink is known for being gorgeous, incredibly talented, and an amazing mom. Being a parent has never been easy, but navigating social media and cell phones in the 21st century is a real treat for modern parents.

Recently, the singer got candid about her decision to keep her 10-year-old daughter, Willow, away from the world of cellphones for as long as she can, and honestly, I can't say I blame her!

The question of when to give your child a cellphone has never been more debated than it is now.

We live in a time where everyone's everything is done on their phones. Heck, these small devices are barely used for actual phone calls anymore! They're used to connect with friends, post on Instagram, and scroll through TikTok for hours.

As fun and instrumental as cellphones are for adults, they can be incredibly dangerous in the hands of a child.

Children can stumble upon something inappropriate very quickly, and don't even get me started on the huge issue that young people face today with cyberbullying.

For these reasons and more, Pink has decided to keep her eldest child, Willow, from having a cell phone for as long as she can.

“There’s a light side and a shadow side to technology in general for adults, as well,” she told the Today Show. “For kids, I’m not there yet."

"I have a 10-year-old who does not have a phone, although she pointed out to me yesterday, 'You know most of the kids in my class, fifth grade, have a phone.'"

"That doesn’t move my needle," she argued. I don’t care.”

Of course, Pink isn't entirely against technology when it comes to her kids.

“We can’t be dinosaurs ourselves as parents, we have to sort of embrace it and go with it,” she explained.

I think that's a great and super realistic way of looking at it!
