Aging in Hollywood almost feels like a curse word. It seems like the worst thing a celebrity, especially a female celebrity, can do is age.

I mean seriously, how messed up is that? It seems like men are able to grow old and be celebrated for it while women are supposed to, what? Disappear? Stop working? Fade into the background?

Not anymore, friends!

Courteney Cox is the latest celebrity to open up about what it means to be a woman over 50 in Hollywood.

I can't imagine being someone like Courteney who gained fame in her late twenties and then have to deal with everyone forgetting that Friends aired 25+ years ago and you've aged since then.

You know, like how humans do.

Speaking with "The Sunday Times" Courteney explained that while she initially thought she wanted fillers, it ended up being something she regretted.

"There was a time when you go, 'Oh, I'm changing. I'm looking older.' And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years," the 57-year-old explained.

"And I didn't realize that, oh [explective], I'm actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now."

"People would talk about me, I think," Courteney added.

"There was a period where I went, 'I've got to stop. That's just crazy.'"

I'm so happy that Courtney has figured out what works best for her and is embracing what makes her feel beautiful!
