History has been made yet again by one of Hollywood's most successful stars, Denzel Washington! The 67-year-old American actor has cemented his spot as the most Oscar-nominated black actor of all time after the 2022 Academy Award nominations were released on Tuesday morning.

The Inside Man actor recently scored his 10th nomination for his role in Joel Coen's Shakespeare adaption of The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Tuesday morning's announcement marked Denzel's 10th Oscar nom.

His nominations come from a variety of roles both in front of and behind the camera, with two wins (Glory and Training Day) from his eight acting nominations, plus one Best Picture nomination as a producer of the 2016 film Fences.

This means that Denzel has officially extended his title as the most-nominated black actor of all time.

And judging by fan support and the rave reviews for Macbeth, it's safe to say Denzel is a top contender for his Best Actor in a Leading Role nomination.

The 2022 Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27.

I really hope that Denzel takes this nomination home, and I for one will be watching and waiting to see this monumental actor get the recognition he deserves!
