Nick Cannon recently shared that his family is growing.

Nick and his girlfriend, model Bre Tiesi, are expecting the 41-year-old's eighth child. The news was revealed on Nick's talkshow Monday morning after photos circulated over the weekend of the pair's gender reveal party.

The TV host then went on to explain that he was in a "great space" and shared a photo from the event with viewers.

In December, Nick announced that his youngest son, 5-month-old Zen, had died of brain cancer.

"I always noticed he had a cough and so I wanted to check it out," Nick explained about the son he shared with Alyssa Scott.

"He had this interesting breathing and by the time he was two months I noticed he had this nice sized head too — a Cannon head. We didn’t think anything of it.

"But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine."

He then went on to reveal that his son's health had taken a turn for the worst over Thanksgiving weekend.

"This weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen," he said, before revealing his son had passed away on December 5th.

During an interview that same month, Nick explained how he dealt with the passing of his son with his other children.

The Masked Singer host is dad to Mariah Carey's 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, 4-year-old Golden and 1-year-old Powerful Queen, who he shares with Brittany Bell, and 7-month-old twins, Zion and Zillion, who he shares with Abby De La Rosa.

"Having to explain that to 10-year-olds [Moroccan and Monroe] and a 4-year-old [Golden] is pretty intense," he told "People" magazine at the time.

"But their understanding and them being there for me probably helped me keep it together as well as really deal with it. Specifically, even, Roc and Roe. They were there for the entire journey," he told the publication.

Nick then went on to explain his untraditional family and desire to have many children.

"I'm a father, first and foremost," he explained. "There's a lot of guilt that I feel and I talk about this in therapy all the time. It's rooted in not having enough time to spend with my loved ones, specifically my children, because I have a lot of children."

"I'm also spread so thin in my work because that's how I cope. That's how I deal with things. I have several jobs and several shows and movies and music, all that stuff."

"And I call myself a provider for many, but one thing no matter how much money I generate, one thing I can't generate is time."

"It's not about quantity, it's about quality. And it's really just having quality moments with my children, quality moments with my family," he added.

"Had a lot of quality moments with Zen in his short time here. I always say time is a manmade thing, but love and energy is a godsend."

At the time of Zen's death, Nick knew that his girlfriend Bre was pregnant.

"So even going through all of that, this was always in the back of my mind, like, 'What is the right time? How do I share this?'" the 41-year-old revealed on Monday's show, as per People.

"No one, we didn't expect Zen to pass away ... All of the news was so unexpected."

"I wanted to definitely respect the grieving process with Alyssa, and Bre was respectful enough — She held off making our announcements and speaking on social media," he explained.

"She's a very, you know, in the public eye type of person, but keeps her stuff private as well."

He continued: "And it was just one of those things like, you know, I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to say when I was dealing with Zen or to hold off."

"Even right now, that it came out yesterday, that wasn't planned to talk about it," Nick said, in reference to the gender reveal party photos that were taken by paparazzi.

"We wanted to, you know, hold on as long as we can, but it happened. We here and I'm with my family I get to discuss it, I get to be open."

We're wishing Nick and Bre all the best during this beautiful time.
