1. They fell in love while filming *Mr. and Mrs. Smith*.
Their love story has always been a controversial one since Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston when he met and fell in love with Angelina Jolie while filming.
While Brad denied an affair, Jolie later admitted that she and Pitt fell in love during filming.
She shared in an interview with *Vogue* that the film caused them to develop a strange friendship and partnership.
“I think a few months in I realized, ‘God, I can’t wait to get to work.’ … Anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair.”
2. They got divorced in 2016 after two years of marriage.
Everything began to spiral in 2016 when Brad and his son Maddox while they were aboard a private plane.
After an anonymous phone call was made to the authorities, an FBI investigation was triggered.
While the case was ultimately closed with no charges, Angelina did file for divorce five days after the altercation.
In the end, Brad’s excess drinking even played a big role in their divorce.

“I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something. Something,” he said.
“I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem.”

3. Jennifer Aniston was really upset with Angelina’s comments about falling in love with Brad.

After her mother passed away from cancer, she elected to undergo a preventive double mastectomy .
She also got the surgery after it was discovered that Angelina carries the BRCA1 gene. This resulted in an 87 percent risk that she’d develop breast cancer and a 50 percent risk that she’d get ovarian cancer.
“I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive…Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries,” she wrote in an op-ed for *The New York Times*.
She even wrote that the experience brought them closer together.
