You know how sometimes you have lofty plans to attempt something that you’ve never done before, and you’re not exactly sure if it’s going to work out or not? But you’re so confident that nothing can possibly go wrong that you proceed anyway?
Well, that is exactly what happened to these folks. They found out the hard way that having too much confidence can be a bad thing.
1. Leave The Cleaning To The Kids
This is what happens when you leave an important job like cleaning out a fire pit with a leaf blower to the kids. This was probably a terrible idea from the start.
2. Great Cleaning Job
Are these guys just daft all on their own or was this their boss’ fault? Cleaning the windows while it’s raining just doesn’t work. I hope these guys are okay!
These are perfect examples of when cleaning seemed like a good idea only to go terribly, terribly wrong.
But seriously, cleaning windows in a downpour takes the cake here.
3. Car Washed
I guess there’s a good reason why they tell you not to walk into the car wash. This employee must not have heard that warning. Lesson learned here.
4. This Will Teach You Not To Microwave Eggs
Apparently, when your eggs are only half-cooked in the microwave you shouldn’t attempt to cook them any further. Kaboom! Good luck cleaning this mess up.
5. When You’re The Grill Master
So you think you’re a real grill master by using chopsticks to flip the steak, only you end up doing this. What a waste! Better luck next time — time to order some takeout.
6. Robe On Fire
Here’s living proof that cooking while wearing a house robe is never a good idea. Whoa, the way the flames engulfed this guy is quite unbelievable!
7. When Cooking Pasta Isn’t For Everybody
This lady learned the hard way that cooking pasta may not be her forte. Apparently, she hasn’t cooked it since. At least she learned her lesson. LOL!
OMG, are these people for real?
I knew cooking was an acquired skill but someone needs to teach these folks about cooking and fire safety as well. This is awful.
8. DIY Roller Coaster Fail
I know it must be hard not to be able to go on a real roller coaster ride but this DIY one just won’t cut it. Ouch! That looks really painful.
9. Sometimes You Need A Little Help From Your Friends
This guy could’ve used a hand or two to put up this furniture because trying to DIY it didn’t work for him. Is…is he okay under there?
10. Driving A Forklift Without A License
I dunno if it was the case here, but it might as well have been. Wow, wonder if he still has a job. Plus, how long did it take to clean this mess up?
These folks prove that not all DIYs are always recommended.
I mean, look how it turned out for them. If this isn’t a lesson to you, I dunno what is.
11. This Will Teach You A Lesson
Seriously? If you think you can use plastic in the oven you’ve got another thing coming. And that thing goes something like this. The pizza looks good otherwise, though!
12. This Pizza Cooking Fail
Word to the wise: Next time you attempt to cook pizza, make sure you don’t fall asleep. I know it’s hard to understand, but don’t do it unless you want your pizza to turn out like this.
13. Who Needs A Pool Cleaner?
When you can clearly just DIY it? I feel bad for this guy but it was fun watching him slide down there. LOL! I’m bad, I know.
14. This Restaurant Surprise
Imagine your surprise when a restaurant fire show comes to a grinding halt because the smoke detector is overly sensitive? Well, these people witnessed it, and it wasn’t pretty.
15. Feeding Hordes Of Hungry Catfish
What can possibly go wrong? Well, if you happen to fall into the water, they might eat you, too. OMG! WTF? That’s crazy. Add catfish to the list of things I’m terrified of.
Now when it feels like something might be just a bit silly, don’t do it.
It’s better to be safe than sorry. That’s my motto at least, and I stick by it.
16. They Don’t Call Them Hot Wings For Nothing
I’m about to make wings tonight. I sure hope mine turn out better than these. I plan on staying awake for this one for sure. Remember, do not fall asleep when things are cooking!
17. Cooking Pasta Can Be Hazardous
This is what happens when you’re trying to boil pasta in a ceramic pot rather than a metal pot. Oh crap, this isn’t good.
18. Who Needs A Hairdresser?
I know it might seem like a good idea at the time to give yourself a little haircut, but kids, don’t do this at home. Seriously, DIY haircuts rarely turn out well.
Wow, I can’t believe there are so many people out there willing to risk their own lives to, like, cook and clean.
Next time, get someone else to do it.
