Love it or hate it, The Hangover is undoubtedly iconic, if for no other reason than simultaneously launching the careers of Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Zach Galifianakis .
However, the movie didn’t manage to make it through unscathed. See what I mean and check out these 10+ mistakes in The Hangover that fans never noticed.
*The Hangover* is probably one of the most hilarious movies of all time.
And while there were plenty of road trip movies that came before it, this movie seemed to start a trend!
Plenty of people were making weekend trip movies after this one was such a success.
However, just because it is an iconic movie, that doesn’t mean it is a perfect one!
In fact, far from it!
The movie is littered with mistakes, which is understandable. No one and nothing is perfect, not even The Hangover .
1. The same extra walks past Stu twice.

Pay attention to the girl in the blue bikini top and the flower bottoms. You can see that she walks past Stu right after Alan hands him his tooth.
Now, keep looking over Stu’s shoulder…
Boom! She appears again as Stu is reading over the receipt from the Bellagio.

Whoops! Clearly, the scene was reset and the extras were sent back to their marks.
Still, it almost looks as if there is a glitch in the Matrix with this one.
2. Who closed the driver-side door?
Who could forget that incredible moment where Ken Jeong’s character, Mr. Chow, bursts from the trunk of the car, completely naked!
Watch as the guys make their way from inside the car to the trunk — you’ll see the driver’s door is open. But as soon as Mr. Chow bursts free, the door is somehow shut.
3. How did Alan manage to drug the guys?

Alan claimed to have given the guys a hit each. But he pours the shots on the rooftop and the glasses are empty.
How could no one notice a pill at the bottom of a shot glass?
4. Who left the door open?
When the guys first arrive in Vegas, Alan comes into the room asking if the guys are “ready to let the dogs out.”
If you pay attention to the bathroom door, you’ll notice that it seems to close itself mid-scene.
5. What’s happening with the windshield?
Take a look at the SUV as the guys drive home. Do you notice anything wrong with the windshield?
Well, if you’re noticing it at all — that’s the problem. It was broken earlier on in the movie, so how did it get repaired?
6. Who refilled the shotglasses?

As the guys begin their night on the roof, they celebrate by giving a toast and having a shot. As the scene goes on, they give another toast and consume yet another drink.
Only nobody refilled the glasses.
7. Who put a leash on the tiger?

First off, let me say I’m not faulting production for safety measures. I’m simply pointing out an error.
Watch the big cat as the guys drive through the tunnel — the chain around its neck disappears and reappears.
8. Just how many chickens are in this hotel?

When Stu first comes to consciousness the morning after, you can clearly see that the chicken is to the left of him as he is lying on the floor.
Yet when he stands up and the camera changes angles, all of a sudden the chicken is on his right.
While we’re at it, what happened to that Monster energy drink?

When Stu is on the floor, it’s right in front of his face. But as he stands up, it’s not even in the frame.
Did Stu kick it out of the way?
9. Phil’s writing completely vanishes!

This happens in the hospital when the guys are trying to find the location of the Best Little Chapel. Phil writes out the name before asking Dr. Valsh where it is.
After he tells the guys to get a map, the camera cuts back to Phil’s now blank piece of paper.
10. Is Doug secretly David Copperfield?

As the guys are making their Las Vegas exit and Doug finds the chips in his pocket, watch his hands: The scene begins with his hat in his left hand and the chips in his right.
When the camera cuts, the items have switched hands.
11. What happened to the scratches on Phil’s neck?

Throughout the movie, Phil has a set of distinct scratch marks on his neck from Mike Tyson’s tiger. But by the time the guys arrive home for the wedding, the scratches have vanished.
No amount of makeup would have been able to cover up those bad boys.
12. Does Mike Tyson do auto work?

Before the guys arrive at Mike Tyson’s house, they get in a bit of a fender-bender and completely sideswipe the entire left side of the vehicle.
As they’re pulling out of Tyson’s house later on, there doesn’t seem to be any damage at all.
13. Doug’s buttons just don’t want to stay buttoned!
This is an example of a tiny detail that just drives me insane!
When Alan and Doug are being fitted for their tuxedos, throughout the scene the buttons on Doug’s shirt change from open, to buttoned, to open again.
14. The setting sun.

After the naked man jumps out of the trunk, the gang takes his tire iron. While this scene plays out, you can see that the sun keeps changing position in the sky.
It goes from high in the sky to a setting sun.
15. “That ain’t gonna happen.”

At the beginning of the movie, Phil says on the phone to Tracy, “that ain’t gonna happen.”
At the end of the movie, when we see the scene again, Stu tackles him before the line is said.
16. The magical wine bottles.
When the apartment is messed up, you’ll see wine bottles that are all lined up next to each other.
However, in the next shot, as Stu gets up, you’ll see that the wine bottles are no longer there.
17. The lack of a camera.
When a child is taking a photo of the guys as they sit on the bench, you’ll notice that the child’s phone is actually on the main screen, showing his wallpaper.
The camera isn’t being used.
18. The police station.

During the scene where the cops demonstrate how to use a taser, Alan gets tased in the neck.
He falls on top of the table in front of the class.
In that shot, his arms are upward going in the direction of his head.
But right after that, in the next shot, Alan’s arms are by his side.
And between shots, he definitely hadn’t moved to adjust his position. So it’s definitely a mistake.
