1. She started building her career when she was just three years old.
While The Parent Trap might’ve been the movie that put Lindsay on the map for many of us, she had done some modeling when she was three years old, and was featured in a soap opera called Another World for a year when she was 10.
2. Her father worked on Wall Street and her mother was an entertainer.
Explains a lot tbh!
Lindsay’s father, Michael, was a Wall Street trader, and has a history of being in trouble with the law. While Lindsay’s mom, Dina, is a former singer and dancer .
3. While Lindsay is definitely the star of her family, she does have three younger siblings that we often don’t hear about.
And all three of them have also dabbled in acting and modeling .
Michael, Jr., who also made an appearance with Lohan in The Parent Trap, Aliana, known as “Ali,” and Dakota “Cody” Lohan. Lohan is of Irish and Italian heritage, and she was reared as a Catholic.
4. She is a natural red head.
We’ve seen many different hair colors on Lindsay: Brown, black, blonde, plum, and of course, ginger.
So, it may come as a surprise to some that her natural hair color is red!
5. In *Freaky Friday*, her character was supposed to be goth.
But after landing the role, the writers thought Lindsay would be better suited to play a more mainstream-esque character instead, and re-wrote her character entirely because of it .
6. *Mean Girls* was Linday’s first movie independent from Disney.
Up until Mean Girls was released, we had only ever seen her in Disney productions like, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen , Get a Clue , Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap (among others).
7. In 2004, even after having so much success apart from Disney, she returned to them for the movie, *Herbie: Fully Loaded*.
While the reviews were, well, mixed…?
It still generated $144 million worldwide. Not too shabby for a movie that was only OK.
8. She loves Marilyn Monroe.
Like many others, Lindsay is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe. So much so, that in the January 2012 issue of Playboy magazine, she chose a Marilyn-inspired theme for the spread.
9. She dated *That ’70s Show* star, Wilmer Valderrama.
Back in 2004, Lindsay and Wilmer were an item.
Even though their relationship was short-lived, something good did some out of it. Lindsay made an appearance on That ’70s Show while they were dating !
10. She was once in a love triangle with Aaron Carter and Hilary Duff.
Lindsay was reportedly dating teen star, Aaron Carter, between 2000 and 2001.
The relationship got a ton of media attention, and rumor had it that there was a feud between Lindsay and Hilary over Aaron.
11. She allegedly converted to Islam.
In 2016, Lindsay had reportedly been studying Islam after she was spotted by paparazzi carrying a copy of the Quran.
Later, she confirmed the reports herself and was seen wearing a hijab.
12. She is bisexual.
Speaking about her sexual orientation, in a 2008 interview, she said that she was not a lesbian.
But when asked if she was bisexual, she responded “Maybe. Yeah,” adding, “I don’t want to classify myself.”
