Kids have wild and crazy imaginations. During the day, we watch them conspire and come up with funny and crazy stories, games, and scenarios. But what happens at night when they are fast asleep?
So many of us wake up and remember our dreams while we’re asleep. But when toddlers can remember them, they sure do have some funny stories to tell.
Recently, parents online began sharing things that their kids have shared that they have dreamed about in the past.
Never eat a toddler’s lollipop

“Last night, she dreamed that a bad guy put her in jail, but a police officer let her out, and then she and her best friend flew away on a cloud and came back to their houses. The worst nightmare she had, that I could not calm her down from, was that she had a lollipop and I was hungry, so I ate her lollipop,” wrote Chellaigh.
Who doesn’t want a late-night swim?

mellonfaced said that her toddler must be obsessed with the water and seafood. One night, he woke up begging to eat fish and chips — even asking for it in his sleep.
But another night, he wanted to go swimming so badly that it took them over 20 minutes to calm him down because it was literally the middle of the night and no one was going swimming at that time.
When they’re hungry, they’re hungry

“When my daughter was 3 weeks old she twice raised her hands in her sleep and pantomimed grabbing a round boob and latching. Unfortunately sucking in the air woke her up both times. It was impressive pantomime though, you could immediately tell what she was doing,” wrote Memento_mori_127.
Grandma and Grandpa for the win

cupcakeofdoomie said that her parents live in another country and her kids can speak to them on the phone. One night, her toddler was talking to their Grammy and Grampy in their sleep, saying things like I love you” “have kiss” “bye bye.” How sweet is that?!
See you later, alligator

“My almost 3 year old has told me every morning for the last 3-4 weeks that she dreamed about alligators — they aren’t scary, they are small, and they do different things each night. Sometimes they’re fluffy and a couple of times they have climbed her curtains! Lol kids are hilarious,” said eniale_e.
Candy is key

coldbrewcoffee22 shared that one evening, her toddler woke up screaming “I want a ring pop! I want a ring pop!” Obviously, since it was 2 a.m., they didn’t give her a ring pop. She ended up falling back asleep, but she dreams about her favorite candy in her deep sleep.
Beware of the cat

“I’m pretty sure my son dream about a cat eating his toes because he woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat saying “no gato! No eat my toes!” wrote mamanessie.
She’s a true Daddy’s girl

OGQueenClumsy revealed that she has often heard her toddler talking about her “Dada” in her sleep. She said that her daughter is indeed a Dada’s girl, so she isn’t surprised that he also pops up in her dreams. Sometimes, we dream about our favorite people.
She must know something we don’t

“4 year old dreamed about his 6 month old baby sister… “the baby had sharp teeth and when I put my finger in her mouth she bit me!” The next day I feel her first sharp little tooth coming in,” wrote vintagegirlgame.
Playing the puppy role

musigalglo shared that her toddler was “woofing” in her sleep the other night. She wasn’t sure if her daughter was playing with a dog — or playing the dog, but it was adorable nonetheless to hear.
Lights out, party time

“For as long as we can remember, every time we ask our 2 year old if he dreamed about anything he ALWAYS always says ‘yeah, a party’ and I always ask, “was mama there? Sometimes I was, sometimes I wasn’t,” shared flacadilla.
Fire truck coming through

kkkbkkk said that her son most definitely dreams about firetrucks — seeing as he’s obsessed with them. The other night, while he was asleep, he was wailing “fire trucks” in such a way that it could only mean he was looking at them, seeing one, or playing with them in his dreams.
Well, that’s one way to dream

“This morning my toddler told me that his moon (wall decor) turned I to a chicken and flapped all around and then woke him up, I’m guessing that’s what he dreamt about last night,” shared dreamniffler.
Sometimes, dreams can be scary

ankaalma revealed that her toddler had a pretty scary dream that his nose was bleeding uncontrollably, which of course can be terrifying for a young kid. He also had a bad dream about a stuffed animal in his closet, which can cause him some sleepless nights.
Trauma is real

“My 3 yo got his leg broke by a dog at the beginning of the year (they ran into eachother. Nothing malicious) and I swear he wakes up with nightmare about it. He wakes up screaming and grabbing his leg that was broken,” said gingerkittenII.
A handyman in the making

“My 2 year old had a dream the other week about going to look at drills at Home Depot. I asked who was there, apparently just dad and baby sister, I stayed home I guess. We took him to look at drills later that day since we were in the area,” wrote 0lliecat
