One of the funniest moments that took place in the MCU was Baby Groot busting a move.

When your cast includes guys like Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo, you can understand why Marvel had to go to extremes to protect their secrets.

5. Robert Downey Jr. ad-libbed the first *Iron Man* film’s most iconic line.
In fact, much of the dialogue was largely ad-libbed .
Director Jon Favreau himself admits that chunks of the script remained unfinished, so RDJ had free rein for the most part.
6. Deadpool dances beautifully in Celine Dion’s music video for “Ashes.”
“Ashes” is used as the score for Deadpool 2 . This is a clever nod to the fact that both Ryan Reynolds and Celine Dion are Canadian.

7. Tom Holland leaked the poster for *Avengers: Endgame* via Instagram Live.
It’s become a bit of a running joke in the MCU that Tom Holland spoils everything.
Whether or not this was a planned publicity stunt remains to be seen, but Marvel didn’t seem too happy about it at the time.
8. Hugh Jackman wasn’t the original Wolverine.
In fact, Dougray Scott was the first actor cast to play Logan. However, due to scheduling conflicts with Mission Impossible: 2 , he had to bow out.
Some things are just meant to be, I suppose.
9. Michael Fassbender was critical of his own performance in *X-Men: Days Of Future Past*.
“I don’t actually like that performance there, to be honest. I just think it’s me shouting. It’s just like… some dude shouting.”
Personally, I think Michael Fassbender is crazy. His portrayal of Magneto was dead-on perfect.
10. Jennifer Lawrence’s makeup for Mystique took an insanely long time to apply.
According to Jennifer Lawrence , it took nearly a full eight hours to apply her Mystique makeup.
Eight hours! Can you imagine how painstaking that entire process must have been?
11. James McAvoy shaved his head too early.
“When I got my head shaved for the last X-Men the director and producer said, ‘Well we don’t want people to know you’ve shaved your head so we’re thinking about getting you a wig – so we can save it as a big surprise’.”
12. Jessica Alba had a kidney infection while filming *Fantastic Four*.
Talk about playing through the pain! Jessica was so sick that she actually almost fainted while filming!
Luckily, she received medical attention and was fine in a few short weeks.
13. Chris Evans turned down the role of Captain America 3 times.
According to Chris, the only reason why he ended up taking the role was because of Robert Downey Jr .
Chris was hesitant, but RDJ explained that if he did the role, he’d then be able to do any film he wanted from that point on.
14. Chris Hemsworth fought hard to keep “fat-Thor.”
“I enjoyed that version of Thor ,” Chris said in an interview with Variety .
“It was so different than any other way I played the character. And then it took on a life of its own.”
15. Ryan Reynolds was the voice of The Juggernaut in *Deadpool 2*.
One of the ways that Deadpool 2 was able to be made at such a comparatively low cost compared to other superhero films was that they knew when and how to cut corners.
Ryan’s own cast members had no idea he was voicing the role until after the release.

Production designer Hanna Beachler said in an interview,
“To get to the design, I had to come up with stories about why this would particularly be there,” she says. “Was it always there, and where did it come — did it move? So that’s where we started.”
17. Hugh Jackman didn’t want Logan to die in *Logan*.
“It was always floated that Logan would possibly die. I said, ‘Let’s be open, because it may be more powerful for him not to die… James was always certain of that ending, and he was right.”
He goes on to explain how he eventually came around and that, in the end, it was the right call.
“Unlike a human character , what’s most poignant for someone who is thought to be indestructible is him dying while saying, ‘This is what it feels like.’”
18. Three out of every five people in Wakanda are bare foot.
This was done deliberately in order to help better emulate tribal fashions that exist in Africa today.
It was made to be a barefoot culture, which is why you’ll see several actors in the film sans-sandals.
19. Jake Gyllenhaal loved his Mysterio costume in *Spider-Man: Far From Home*.
He thought it was so great that he actually petitioned to be able to wear the costume more throughout the film!
Jake said he felt that he really understood the character of Mysterio.
20. Tom Holland had to wear some seriously uncomfortable underwear.
“The first thing you need to know, all I have on under that costume is a thong . They brought them in on my first day, like, ‘Here are your thongs.'”
He goes on to say how he was skeptical at first, but inevitably came around to the idea.
“I had serious misgivings – would my [expletive] ever be the same again? But I had to get used to it. Even though I was thinking no way, no way!”
21. The funniest line in *Thor: Ragnarok* wasn’t even in the script!
When Thor realizes that he’s going to be fighting the Hulk, he exclaims aloud, “He’s a friend from work!”
This line was actually suggested by a Make-A-Wish kid that was visiting on the set.
22. Ryan Reynolds took the longest in the makeup chair while filming *Deadpool*.
For the scenes where Ryan had to be in full-body makeup, it would sometimes take upwards of eight hours to apply.
Once it was on, Ryan wasn’t able to sit or lie down until it was removed.
23. Chris Hemsworth’s brother makes a cameo appearance in *Thor: Ragnarok*.
As fans will no doubt remember, there’s a short play enacted called The Tragedy of Loki which retells the story of Loki’s heroic “death.”

It’s a good thing, too, because it’s one heck of a lengthy process .
