Twitter Has Some Thoughts About An Apartment That Has A Shower In The Kitchen

New York apartments are notoriously small by nature. People are living in a coveted real estate market, so they'll pretty much settle for anything. Ha, ha!

But there's one particular studio apartment that has caught the eye of the interwebs for a good reason. It has a shower in the kitchen. Say what? You heard that right. Isn't that bizarre?

This apartment can be found in a pretty desirable Williamsburg, Brooklyn location, which only adds to its mystique. Am I right?

Not only that but its rent is also $1,650 a month. That's quite reasonable when it comes to New York City.

There's only one catch, the shower is in the kitchen. OMG!

I can honestly say I've never encountered anything like that in my search for an apartment before. Ha, ha! Why would they do that? I have no idea. Any guesses?

But come to think of it, it could save you some time getting ready in the morning.

You can just slip into the shower while your coffee is getting made. Or take that protein powder right in there with you. LOL!

If it were me I might've just come up with a creative way to cover up this space.

How about hanging up some drapes and making the shower into extra storage space? I think I could work with that idea.

Other than that the place seems okay to me.

And for the size of it, it's definitely a very good price indeed. After all, this area is pretty popular. In comparison to some other shoebox apartments, this is pure luxury.

It also comes with a separate kitchen that has big and bright windows as you can see here.

There's also a sectioned off sleeping area. This sounds like a dream come true to anyone who's like a Carrie Bradshaw indeed.

Who can forget there's also a toilet room.

A little small by my standards but what can you do. You can't always have it all. Am I right? For a place in New York, this is pretty much what you would get.

Just get a load of how big the place actually is.

You can do a whole runway show here if you really wanted to. I can see the girls from Sex and the City strutting their stuff over here.

Online, people had some pretty strong reactions to this unusual apartment.

Many thought that the apartment's affordable rent was probably due to the unique shower situation. There's always a catch.

People from outside of New York were not loving it.

It just goes to show that if you want to live in New York, prepare to pay a lot more for fewer amenities.

Apparently, though, this isn't too uncommon for New York City.

Lots of older apartments have showers or bathroom features in the kitchen... personally, I am not a fan of this layout.

Some Twitter users looked on the bright side.

You can take snacks in the shower with you, which is always a win. I just can't shake the feeling that this layout wouldn't work if you had roommates.

So is this shower situation a deal-breaker for you? Or would you jump at this listing in a heartbeat?

I guess it didn't matter in the end because the place ended up renting out in just a mere two weeks after the listing went live.
