It only took one concert clip to blow up online and maybe even wreck a marriage.
Megan Kerrigan Byron didn’t take it lightly when people started saying her husband, Andy Byron, had cheated on her at a Coldplay show.
“Imagine THIS is how you find out your husband likes Coldplay,” someone joked online.
Well, not exactly the kind of surprise you’d want.
Viral concert video exposed more than music
The internet got a front-row seat to Andy’s personal life when he popped up in a video from the Coldplay concert on July 16 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
That’s not too far from where Andy and Megan live. But instead of enjoying the show with his wife, Andy had his arms around another woman while the band played.
The kiss cam made things painfully public
During the concert, the camera panned across the crowd and landed on Andy as he was hugging a woman named Kristin Cabot.
“Whoa, look at these two. Alright, come on. You’re OK,” Chris Martin joked into the mic.
Andy and Kristin visibly panicked and tried to hide their faces, but it was too late.
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do,” the singer added. And just like that, the clip exploded online.
Online sleuths uncovered who they were

Internet users got to work fast. Pretty soon, they figured out that Andy and Kristin both worked at Astronomer, a software company based in New York.
Andy’s the CEO. Kristin is the head of HR. The company’s worth around $1.2 billion.
Megan responded by disappearing from social media

Megan didn’t stay quiet about the whole thing, but she also didn’t say much.
She started by dropping her last name from her profile. Then she just deactivated her Facebook and deleted her Instagram.
People were swarming her pages, so it’s not hard to see why she pulled the plug.
The couple’s personal life came into focus

Megan, who’s 50, works at Bancroft School in Massachusetts. She’s the Associate Director of Lower School and also handles admissions for a program there.
She and Andy have two kids together. They live close to where the concert took place.
Speculation swirled about Kristin’s past too

It came out that Kristin had gotten divorced from her ex-husband Kenneth Thornby back in 2022. No one really knows if she remarried after that.
People online were saying both she and Andy were married and sneaking around.
“I don’t know much about her but he is married with two kids,” one comment read. Another person added, “They both are!”
Former employees chimed in with old grievances

Once the video started trending, some of Andy’s old coworkers came out of the woodwork.
One of them told the New York Post that ex-employees were all over group chats, laughing about Andy being exposed like that.
They made it clear they weren’t surprised.
Andy had a reputation in the workplace

That same former coworker said Andy was known for being aggressive and just plain toxic at work.
They said people were enjoying seeing him get called out, even feeling like it was karma catching up.
A fake apology added to the chaos

Andy didn’t release any statement, but a fake apology started circulating.
“I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and my team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader,” the letter read.
It kept going: “I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent.
“I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”
But Andy’s company quickly shut it down and said it wasn’t real.
The internet took Megan’s side

The internet was pretty firmly Team Megan. People wondered if she even knew about Andy’s second life before the whole concert mess.
“I really hope if she sees all this and it’s new to her that she is surrounded by people who truly love and support her to help her get through this,” one comment read. “This is so wrong and so hurtful.”
“What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money,” another person said.
Someone else wrote, “His wife is so pretty. I wish her the very best.”
