Ryan Reynolds Mocked 'Infinity War' To Promote 'Deadpool 2,' And Twitter Is Losing It

Diply 10 May 2018

With all the ridiculous hype surrounding Infinity War, we've almost completely forgotten about the release of Deadpool 2.

I don't know if Ryan Reynolds will ever forgive us, but then we remembered that he's Canadian, so I think we're in the clear.

Ryan is back at it again with the laughs and some more promotional material for Deadpool 2, and this time, he came for the Avengers. Listen, if Blake Lively isn't safe, no one is.

If he's going to go after his own wife, he's clearly going to troll rival superheroes.

Ryan has already taken a jab at the Avengers once, but he wasn't done there.

While congratulating them on their success with the opening of Infinity War, Ryan posted a rejection letter from Tony Stark letting Deadpool know that he would not be invited to join the team.

Yikes, that stings. Good thing Deadpool is practically indestructible. But then again, his feelings aren't.

And Ryan might not be over this rejection, since he put his own spin on an Avengers letter.

Prior to the release of the film, directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared a letter to fans imploring them to keep quiet about the events that go down in Infinity War.

#ThanosDemandsYourSilence was respected by many fans who didn't want to ruin the fun for other viewers who may not have camped out to be the first to see the movie.

Ryan decided to make his own letter for Deadpool 2, and it doesn't disappoint.

Reynolds recently posted his own message to the "greaterest fans in the whole universe" — just a little bit better than the greatest in the world.

The note from Deadpool goes on to poke a bit of fun of himself. It states that only a handful of people know the film's true plot and that Ryan Reynolds is not one of them.

He also maybe gives away the end of the whole movie. Unless he actually is kidding. I honestly don't know.

I wouldn't care if Deadpool dies at the end, but if new character Peter doesn't make it, I will flip a table.

Some true Avengers fans maybe didn't get the gag and called out Ryan for straight-up copying them.

Hasn't anyone told you that imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery? That's just a fact.

Meanwhile, others were quick to help them understand that imitating the Avengers was the whole freakin' point.

Thanks, team. I'm glad we could clear all of this up.

Some fans also sent some warnings to anyone who was planning on ruining the film, and they're terrifying...

One fan warned anyone who tries to spoil the plot with a punishment that we would not wish upon our worst enemy.

Not Green Lantern! Dear god! Anything but that!

True fans also pointed out some of the details in the letter, like how the 20th Century Fox logo is crossed out with "TBD" written there instead. This is likely since Disney bought Fox. Shade.

Some other funnies include the many random hands on the table as a jab at Thanos' Gauntlet. Is that a wolf's paw? I hope it is.

The Russo Brothers had their own response to Ryan's gag, and I'm going to need a personal day to get over my shookness. Ryan knew he did wrong, and he will be sitting in a time-out.

Part of me wants the release of Deadpool 2to be delayed so we get more glorious promotional gems like this one from Ryan himself.

Or we'll take the movie, too. That works.
