They can get in free to tons of places, have private jets on hand, and can basically get away with almost anything.
The best part about being a celebrity (in my opinion anyway) is the money.
Sure, money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it does buy you a lot of stuff.
And some celebs definitely take advantage of all the potential things that they can buy.
And some of these purchases are nothing short of outrageous.
So we’re here to walk you through some of the most ridiculous purchases made by celebs!
Because hey, we may not be millionaires, but it’s fun to see what millionaires do with their money.
1. Kendall Jenner – $52,000 on a couch
While most of us were buying secondhand couches online for our first place, Kendall Jenner was pimpin’ out her home with a $52,000 couch!
For $52,000, you’d think it was made out of gold or something.
But, nope, it’s not.
“[It’s] all woven and a really groovy navy with purple shimmer. It works perfectly in the space!” the model gushed about the boa-shaped couch designed by the Campana brothers for Edra.
2. Tyrese Gibson – around $100,000 on a private island
Forget ponies, this Fast & Furious star bought his daughter an island!
He did so when she was just eight at the time and they called it “Love Island.”
They’re probably going to have to change that since *Love Island* is now the name of a TV show where a bunch of people go to hook up.
Not exactly what you want associated with a young girl…
3. Kelly Rowland – $5,200 on a Swarovski crystal bathtub
As if Blue Ivy wasn’t royalty enough with Queen Bey as her mother, Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé’s former bandmate from Destiny’s Child, gifted Blue this $5,200 crystal-encrusted bathtub.
What happened to giving kids cheap onesies from Walmart?
4. Johnny Depp – over $30,000 a month on wine
In 2018, the veteran actor found himself deep in debt.
One major reason why was because he was spending upwards of $30,000 a month on wine!
“It’s insulting to say that I spent $30,000 on wine,” Depp told *Rolling Stone* magazine. “Because it was far more.”
5. Lady Gaga – $39,000 on ghost-hunting equipment
Lady Gaga goes gaga for ghosts — and not in a good way.
It’s why she allegedly spent thousands of dollars on Electro Magnetic Field meters to detect them.
“[Gaga] believes in paranormal activity and won’t take any risks when she is on the road. It’s important to her to be safe from spirits,” a source close to the star said.

6. Kim Kardashian and Kayne West – $750,000 on gold-plated toilets
Talk about flushing money down the drain…
The toilets were part of the $2 million renovation that Kim and Kayne put into their previous Bel Air home.

It pays to be Courteney Cox’s friend!
When Jennifer Aniston said she wanted to bike, Court gifted her bestie the designer bike.
It came with eight speeds and a saddlebag that featured the famous Chanel “CC” logo.

8. Katy Perry – $200,000 on a ticket to space
It’s all too fitting that Katy Perry bought her ex-husband Russell Brand a ticket to space.
After all, he already seems out of this world with his outlandish ways.

What he was doing with all these flowers, we’ll never know, but he did once defend his right to buy them by saying, “Well, I like flowers.”

Forget spoiled children.
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton spoiled her dogs totally rotten when she spent major cha-ching to build this 300-square-foot mansion that’s modeled after her home.
11. Justin Bieber – $5,000 on a gold grill
Justin Bieber dropped $5,000 to basically make his mouth look cool for a Halloween costume in 2011 .
I hope he had a good Halloween out of it.
12. Miley Cyrus – $24,000 on hair extensions
So not only were they over 20 grand, but she actually had them flown in from Italy.
I wish I could have pizza flown in from Italy.
13. Nicolas Cage – $150 million fortune on prized possessions.
Okay, this one is a bit of a wild ride, so get ready for the many, many purchases that Cage makes that will make no sense to you.
For example, he owned 15 residences across the world.
He bought a burial tomb, an octopus, pygmy heads, and a dinosaur skull.
Oh, and also a Superman comic book that he paid $150,000 for.
The best part about all of this is that, even though it ruined his finances, he doesn’t regret it.
“You have good investments and bad investments,” he said . “The good investments came from personal interest and my honest enjoyment of the history.”
14. Daniel Radcliffe – $17,000 on a mattress
Hey, taking care of your back is important, especially as you get older.
We won’t be young and flexible forever, people!
15. Jay-Z: $55 million on a racehorse
Jay-Z is a huge rapper and loves to double as a businessman.
He confirmed his love of that when he bought the racehorse, California Chrome.
Chrome’s former owner, Steve Coburn, said this about selling the horse to Jay-Z:
“I hated to sell the animal, but it is hard to say no to a double nickel in millions. And it is the best thing for horse racing.”
“Our racing community has been pushing to get a rapper involved in ownership for a long time.”
“I could not turn down the chance to give our sport an ethnic boost.”
