There's no doubt that Hilary Duff was once the queen of The Disney Channel. Lizzie McGuire ruled because it was the first show of its kind to represent a young girl audience so accurately. What made the show even better was that everything Lizzie was going through, Hilary was going through too, which made the show more authentic. Nowadays they would probably have some youthful looking twenty-year-old play the part. Here are 14 things you didn't know about the show that came to an end 12 long years ago.

1. Hilary Duff went to a total of five auditions for the role of Lizzie. She was convinced that she wouldn't get the part, so she bombed her first audition.
