There are a lot of ways to make your high school graduation memorable, but I think maybe “having Keanu Reeves speak at it” is definitely one of the coolest.

This is a strange time to be graduating high school.
Due to social distancing recommendations, many high schools are currently having their graduation ceremonies for the class of 2020 virtually, which isn’t quite the experience that many students planned for.
However, this does mean that celebrities who may not have been able to physically show up for a ceremony in person have been able to record virtual messages for graduates.
This was the case for the graduating class of San Dimas High School.
San Dimas High School is famously the school that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter’s characters from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure attended, and the two stars recorded a message for the graduating class of 2020, as the school announced on twitter.
“Thanks Alex @Winter and Keanu Reeves for making our students day EXTRA special and thank you to @Kimbalow for getting them to wish our students well!” they wrote.
Keanu and Alex shared a short but very sweet message with the students.
“We know it’s a tough time right now and you’re having to do this virtual graduation,” Alex begins by saying, after while Keanu heaves a dramatic and very funny sigh. “We want to wish you the best of luck moving forward,” Winter continues.
“Yeah, congratulations to the graduating class of 2020. Well done!” Keanu adds
“But most importantly, we wanted to tell you to be excellent to each other,” Alex says, echoing the two’s most famous line from the film that was also coincidentally emblazoned on Keanu’s shirt.
“And party on!” Keanu added.
