Oh, Madonna. There's nothing not to love about her. Even if you're not a fan, chances are, your eyes and ears are ready to watch and listen every time Madonna, queen of pop, makes headlines. It's always for a very interesting reason, that much is for sure.

Now, it's because she has a completely nude NFT that she is defending. No matter what critics and fans might think of it, she is here to stand her ground and defend her art. The '80s queen of music shared the shocking pictures and video on her Instagram.

Madonna and NFTs are two words I never thought I would hear in the same sentence.

The 63-year-old is now also in on the NFT game. NFTs, for those who don't know, is a non-fungible token that is used to sell digital art.

The "Like a Virgin" singer is now in on the game.

She worked with the artist Beeple to create a very interesting NFT. They featured some very intense, and very NSFW features. In it, she is giving birth to creatures: little butterflies, insects, and even trees!

And let me tell you: you get up close and personal with Madonna.

While it made some people really shocked, she immediately defended using her own nakedness in a chat she shared on her Instagram account on Wednesday. Fans were certainly interested to hear what she had to say.

"I'm doing what women have been doing since the beginning of time, which is giving birth," she said.

“But on a more existential level, I’m giving birth to art and creativity and we would be lost without both,”

She also made it clear that the proceeds required from the NFT, which is appropriately titled, "Mother of Creation" will be given to charities.

Specifically, they will be going to National Bail Out, V-Day, and Voices of Children.

“I think it’s really important that a lot of thought and conversation went into creating these videos,” she added.

She then continued to explain what inspired the NFT.

“I say we need a forest with creepy crawly bugs coming out of me,” Madonna said.

“Not often does a robot centipede crawl out of my vagina.”

The purpose of the NFT, she said, was “to investigate the concept of creation, not only the way a child enters the world through a woman’s vagina, but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity.”

“My journey through life as a woman is like that of a tree."

"Starting with a small seed, always pushing against the resistance of the Earth. The endless weight of gravity,” she finished.

Despite her speech, a lot of people still had very intense opinions about it.

Thankfully, some people made jokes out of it.

"Well, thanks to Madonna i know where butterflies come from." one user wrote.

"If a Madonna NFT, 3D model/animation of a tree growing from her vagina isn’t the absolute pinnacle, then I’m just tuning out until this is all over." another Twitter user added.

And while a lot of people didn't like it, some fans actually came to her defense.

"I may not understand @Madonna and her #NFT project BUT what seems to be getting lost in the mix of reactions to it is that she is DONATING the proceeds to charities and social justices organizations. Those attacking the content are missing the point." one user pointed out.

In the reply to that tweet, another user pointed out something very important as well:

"The fact that in 2022 people are still shocked at Madonna doing “outrageous” things when her entire career is doing that."

I mean...that is one hundred percent true.

All in all, you have to give credit where credit is due.

Whether you like it or not, Madonna is always going to do what she wants and she will make sure that she turns heads while she does it. No one quite does it like her.
