"I had two months of soccer training through trainers in Los Angeles and Canada," Blake explained to MovieWeb. "My brother-in-law took me to all the games with him and his friends and I played with the other girls in Canada."

According to an interview that the cast gave to Entertainment Weekly, Olivia Wilde at one point auditioned to play Bridget. But in the end, Blake Lively's performance won out.

America didn't grow up reading the books and wasn't a huge fan of the title when the script was sent her way. Her mother wound up reading both and convinced America to take the part.
