While many Hollywood friendships have come and gone throughout the years, one that has stood the test of time is Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore.

Few Hollywood friendships can outshine these two. They've been there for each other through thick and thin, including divorces, children, and tabloid gossip.

Their friendship has proven two important things: 1) they are #goals and 2) female friendships are majorly important.

Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore's friendship goes way back.

They first met when they were just teenagers. “We’ve known each other so long... we met when [Barrymore] was 14 and I was 16," Diaz revealed in a 2011 Access Hollywood interview.

Whenever Cameron wasn't modeling and Drew wasn't acting, they would hang out in Hollywood or Beverly Hills.

"She was working at this coffee shop or this soda shop, and I used to go hang out there and we became friendly," Diaz added.

The girls quickly went from friends to sisters when Cameron transitioned to acting.

After her breakout role in The Mask, Drew asked if Cameron wanted to star in the 2000 reboot of Charlie's Angels. This brilliant idea led to two Charlie's Angels movies, alongside Lucy Liu.

Both films went on to be a major success, earning over $250 million.

The experience of working together also cemented the best friendship between Drew and Cameron.

Since then, they've loved to gush about one another in interviews!

Like when Cameron told 'InStyle' that Drew has the "most amazing heart."

"She is one of my closest girlfriends, but the way she loves the people around her is really special," she said. "She is so giving of herself and so accepting of others."

She continued, "she didn't really have a strong family, so friends are her family."

Cameron continued to gush on Drew in ways we want to eat up. "She is one big heart, Drew! She doesn't even wear it on her sleeve; it's like she is just a heart."

Drew has equally gushed about her longtime best friend over the years.

In 2016, she said in an interview with Good Housekeeping that if she were to ever be stuck in jail, Diaz would be her one call.

“Not that any one of us are going to jail anytime soon,” Barrymore added. “But 100 percent. She would, like, get in there and get you out.”

Yep, these two are the type of "bury the body" friends that we all need.

The kind of friend who will help you bury a body, no questions asked. A true ride or die!

They both exude a similar free-spirit nature, like when they were photographed toting champagne together on the streets of New York City.

Drew shared the epic throwback picture, along with a backstory in 2020.

"2003 welcomes 2020,” she began.

"It was the NYC [premiere] of Charlie’s Angels 2 and I had hired an old school bus with Christmas lights and hanging rubber chickens to take us there!” Drew wrote.

“And I was like ‘trust me! This is going to be so fun to show up in! And then it broke down! Literally ‘smoking from the hood’ broke.”

With no ride to the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle premiere, they walked on foot — with the champagne in tow, of course. “And we’re all still peas in a pod.”

Yep, this about sums up their friendship — and the friendship we all need!
