Clint Eastwood Celebrates His 90th Birthday, But Doesn't Want Cake

Getting older is a part of life, whether we like it or not. Some people approach birthdays with all the vigor and enthusiasm of a toddler excited to finally pass from the dreaded five-and-a-half to six years old. Others prefer to bury their heads in the sand and quite happily enjoy being 29 for three consecutive years.

Clint Eastwood knows which side he's on.

Everyone knows Clint Eastwood.

The legendary actor, director, and producer has been gracing our screens as a certifiable badass since the 1950s and, as we approach his birthday on May 31st, he's made it very clear (through his son, fellow actor Scott Eastwood) that he does not want to be reminded.

When asked how the family was planning on celebrating Clint's 90th, Scott was pretty casual.

"We’re going to do just a family thing," Scott told Access Hollywood. "Very calm, very mellow. He doesn’t like birthdays. He’s just sort of like, 'I don't want to do them.'"

When you've had 90 of them, I guess you're more than allowed to not want to do any more!

Scott said they're planning to "have a nice lunch."

Don't worry, though, if you've got the sneaking suspicion that Clint might actually want some celebrating done.

"We’ll sneak a cake in there, definitely. He probably won’t like it, but we’ll put one in," Scott said, so all bases are covered.

We hope Clint has a great birthday and enjoys the cake!

Hopefully Clint is staying offline and the surprise doesn't get ruined, but something tells me that he has more important things to deal with than checking out every interview Scott gives!

Happy 90th, Clint!
