Artist Uses Recycled Silverware To Create Stunning Bird Sculptures

Matt Wilson is doing something really cool with found and recycled materials. He is making beautiful sculptures of animals, especially birds.

Each piece is created out of a love of nature and a desire to preserve the natural world and creatures around him. In his artist statement, he says, "Influenced by natural elements, my art is a reflection of the environment in which I live. Using organic and recycled materials - bone, driftwood, scrap metal, etc., my sculptures depict continuous life cycles that consciously and unconciously permeate our awareness. The upcycled work I create is a testimony to the belief of conserving and appreciating our resources, so that the environment in which we live will continue to be an environment in which we desire to live."
