Don't worry, the name of the film will be in the title, so you'll get a whole bunch of warnings before you actually read the spoilers for movies you've been trying to see.

1. *Moon*

IMDb

Moon is about a guy called Sam Bell who discovers a bunch of clones of himself on his Moonbase.

Little does he know, he's also a clone and that the real Sam Bell is on earth with his family.

2. *Spider-Man Homecoming*

IMDb

The best twist in a Marvel movie to date: when Peter finds out that Adrian Toomes, the Vulture, is his prom date Liz's dad.

Adrian takes about 5 seconds to discover Peter's secret identity as well.

3. *The Usual Suspects*

IMDb

In the end, we find out that Verbal is Keyser Söze and Kujan pieces together all of his lies.

But it was too late. Keyser had already escaped.

4. *Orphan*

IMDb

All throughout the movie you're wondering what's up with this weird orphan, Esther. Is she possessed? Is she just an evil kid? Nope!

She was a 33-year-old murderer in disguise. Mind = blown.

5. *Murder on the Orient Express*

IMDb

Mystery movies tend to get the audience going. Who was the killer? No, it couldn't have been him, he was away at the time!

But when the answer is everybody is the murderer, that's when things get interesting.

6. *American Psycho*

The whole ending of this movie was bonkers. Paul's apartment was completely clean. The shooting with the cops possibly never happened.

Heck, Paul is still alive? How could that be?

7. *Perks of Being a Wallflower*

This twist was like a freaking gut punch. Out of almost nowhere, Charlie suddenly realizes that his aunt had sexually abused him when he was a child.

Wow, what a horrible twist.

8. *The Departed*

IMDb

In the end, Colin thinks he's gotten away with everything. Frank Costello is dead, Billy is dead and pretty much anyone who could've outed him is dead. He's home free...

But then he's shot by Staff Sgt. Sean Dignam.

9. *Shutter Island*

IMDb

This Leo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese crossover had one of the best twists ever.

After the whole movie happens, the main character Teddy discovers he's not a detective, but a mental patient.

10. *Whiplash*

In the end, after all the torture and abuse, Fletcher gets his comeuppance. All because Andrew testified against him.

Well, we thought Fletcher had no idea Andrew testified against him. We were wrong.

11. *Black Swan*

IMDb

There's a moment where Nina thinks that she's killed Lily, but then when she's onstage she realizes that she actually stabbed herself.

Man, don't go out for ballet, that's for sure.

12. *Toy Story 2*

Pixar

Sure, Zurg being Buzz's "father" was a cool twist, but it was probably just a Star Wars joke.

However, Stinky Pete being the villain? Now that's a twist that messed some kids up!

13. *The Sixth Sense*

IMDb

Possibly the greatest and/or most prolific twist of all time, this is the thing that launched M. Night Shyamalan's career. Come on, you know it.

Bruce Willis was dead the whole time.

14. *Get Out*

When Chris was trying to "get out" of the house, he was frantically looking for his keys and then Rose held them up.

That's when Chris (and the rest of us) figured out what was going on. She was in on the murderous scheme the whole time.

15. *La La Land*

At the end of the movie, we get this beautiful, dreamlike montage of Mia and Sebastian living happily ever after.

But then it cuts and shows Mia with another guy. Rude much?!

16. *Ex Machina*

IMDb

The end of this movie was a mind-blower.

Ava trapped Caleb in the house and then escaped via the helicopter that was meant for her own creator. What a twist.

17. *The Prestige*

IMDb

In the end, Robert Angier realized that it was actually two identical twins living the life and performing the seemingly impossible magic tricks of his magician rival, Alfred Borden.

18. *Atonement*

Briony lied about her apology to Cecilia and Robbie.

She was too scared to actually go and confront them, and then they both ended up dying. Wow, what a way for it all to end.

19. *Seven Pounds*

IMDb

All throughout the movie, Ben is trying to learn about his past.

It's revealed in the end that he actually killed seven people while texting and driving. A powerful, modern message.

20. *Interstellar*

Mann lied to Cooper about the planet's inability to support life (or at least human life) so he could murder Cooper.

All so that he could cover his tracks.

21. *The Visit*

IMDb

Ooh, look, another M. Night Shyamalan movie on the list. It's like he's known for twists or something.

Anyway, this time the mother of the children noticed that the old people the kids were staying with weren't their grandparents, but escaped mental patients.

22. *Psycho*

IMDb

I take the last Sixth Sense comment back, this is probably the most prolific twist of all time.

You know the drill: Norman Bates was actually pretending to be his mother the whole time.

23. *Planet of the Apes*

IMDb

A group of astronauts land on a planet that has been taken over by talking apes.

But once you see the Statue of Liberty in the film, you realize that it's actually Earth.

24. *Harry Potter*

IMDb

One of the biggest crushing blows to Harry Potter fans is when Harry learns that Snape is actually trying to protect him from Voldemort the whole time.

Could've been a little nicer about it.

25. *Everything, Everything*

IMDb

The twist of this movie was mind-blowing, to say the least.

The main character, Maddy, suddenly finds out she never had SCID (a disease that makes you stay inside your whole life) and her mother was just lying to her about it.

The way everything comes together in this movie is awesome.

In this movie's twist, the main character, Anna, realizes through flashbacks that her sister had actually died in a fire many years ago.

She was just hallucinating her the whole time.

IMDb

All throughout the movie, there's this dead body next to the other two guys who are attempting to escape Jigsaw's dangerous game.

In the end, however, the "dead body" gets up and is revealed to be Jigsaw.

29. *Now You See Me*

IMDb

The FBI agent, Dylan, was supposed to be searching and chasing after the Four Horsemen.

But he was actually the one who orchestrated the heist the entire time.

30. *Snowpiercer*

IMDb

The whole movie we're led to believe that all life outside the train has been extinguished.

However, at the end of the movie, the people inside the train see a polar bear walking around outside.

31. *Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back*

I take back what I said about Psycho, this is the most prolific twist of all time.

The moment where the villainous Darth Vader tells Luke Skywalker that Luke's father isn't dead...Vader is his father.

Yeah, the whole world changed for us.

32: *Iron Man*

Okay, this one messed us up in a good way, but it still messed us up!

We weren't expecting Tony to come out and tell everyone he was Iron Man, and then not see the repercussions for quite some time!

33: *Avengers: Endgame*

Marvel

While we're on the subject of Stark... Tony Stark dying was something that no one really expected.

We thought he would stand the test of time, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

What movie plot twist messed you up?

There are hundreds of movies out there, so we're sure you can think of one!
