Many on Reddit agree that Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is not all that it is cracked up to be. A huge vacation spot that many people insist is amazing, others feel it is totally underwhelming. One Reddit user said it's like "the city version of someone who peaked in high school and now they're 50 years old still trying to relive the glory days of high school."

FarmerSenior9051 pointed out that Jackson, Mississippi is truly a problematic place. There is tons of poverty, corruption, tons of crime, and fleeing business. There is no fixing it, either, as everyone apparently points fingers and blame games each other.

"I don’t gamble so the casinos weren’t very exciting for me. The beach was pay to play and just a strip of sand with cold brown water. The boardwalk was good except it was the same exact merchandise in every 5th shop," said If_you_ban_me_I_win.

Everyone romanticizes Paris, that it's the world's most beautiful city and so amazing. But, Jasmotron3k points out that there's even a mental state called "Paris Syndrome" where people are so disappointed, they actually go into a depression.

"The smog is ridiculous, the city smells awful, and lots of the people are rude and stuck up. People seem to use living in LA as some kind of badge of honor, but I really can't see why anyone would want to live there," said jcollins052.

ElDobre97 says that Vegas is so expensive, it's like you have to go bankrupt just to have a good time. The amount of money people spend in three days there is almost insane. Plus, everything there is just a replica of something from somewhere else.

Seattle, Washington.

drakekevin73 said that Seattle is a place that is always romanticized for the rain and the ferries, but you never realize how much you hate rain until it rains for weeks on end and you never see any sun.

Portland, Oregon.

"To the left, it's a liberal bastion of progressive ideals. To the right its a wretched hive of scum and villiany. To the people who live here it's just like any other city with it's ups and downs, but we're constantly debunking the wild claims that people make about us that they heard on some hyper partisan news outlet," said ravenhawk82.
