In the age of technology, one thing is certain — things are bound to go awry. And when they do, you can count on tech support, alright. I really pity those guys because some of the cases they see are quite out there.
So I've gathered a few examples of those times when even tech support people were ready to give up.
"SMART data says failure. I had to open the HDD to see what was wrong."
Nothing some glue and duct tape can't fix, haha. No, seriously, just wrap it in tin foil and put it in the oven for a while. That should do the trick. My bad!
"I had to hound my manager for a RAM upgrade. I'm so excited that it just arrived!"
Wow! Can you believe that? Which part of "fragile, handle with care" this mail delivery person didn't understand? So infuriating, no?
What did I tell you? Never try to force an SD card into its slot. If you do that, you might have to say "goodbye" to it for good. I hope this person had a backup of whatever they stored on it.
Here's another thing you should never do. Don't try to dry your keyboard in the oven because I can guarantee that it will melt. Do I even have to tell you that? Come on! What a stupid move, huh?
"My girlfriend's iPhone charger cable which she won’t replace because 'it works.'"
LOL! Yeah, it works until you get electrocuted, that is. I don't know about you, but I rather replace the charger than risk that any day.
I guess somebody just had to rage against the machine, hehe. Get it? Here's my attempt at making you smile today. Did I succeed? I hope so, lol. If not, I'll try better next time.
You'd think that when you pay extra for that Priority Mail, your stuff would have arrived in one piece? It's in one piece alright but no longer in working order. I hope they got mail insurance.
Oh my goodness. I think this piece here has seen better days. Are you with me? Just what in the heck were they trying to do here? Is this one of those gels that are supposed to clean the dust off? I don't think so, hehe.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a first for me. I don't think I've ever seen a laptop in a state like this. How is it even still working? That's beyond me. Can somebody explain it to me?
Oh my! What am I looking at here, huh? Can you believe this was once a phone? Oh, yeah. Are you curious about what happened? Well, as it turns out, it fell into the garbage disposal. Yikes!
"Customer states 'our intercom at the gate doesn't work' meanwhile in the connections box."
Oh yeah, that must sound familiar to a tech guy. I wonder who installed the thing in the first place? It must've been a rushed job.
"My client says he doesn't know why his PC isn't turning on anymore."
LOL. Are you kidding me? What happened here? Did Spider-Man get inside of this to hide his web? He and Ant-Man must've had a field day.
"Customer states they saw 'a couple of ants' entering the rear vents of their iMac."
Aha! Speaking of ants, how the heck does that happen too, huh? I mean, perhaps all the rice is the culprit here. What do you think?
Can you guess where this is? Let me tell you, hehe. This ladies and gentlemen is the Marriot Hotel's server closet. So it's no wonder the wifi is always wonky. I guess it's to be expected.
"So yesterday, my hamster escaped from his cage and somehow ended up inside my computer. My PC no longer works."
Ah, give the little guy a break. He's obviously working hard to fix this mess, ha, ha.
I don't know about you, but I don't think this is an entirely safe operation here. Somehow I highly doubt this is how it's supposed to look. Who's the genius who gave this their go-ahead? That's what I would like to know.
OMG! I can't believe my eyes. In fact, I can't even look at this mess here. I feel like looking at this is burning a hole in my skull. I now can sympathize with every tech person called to fix this 'issue' here.
I don't know if somebody did this on purpose, or is this just how this department rolls. Either way, I'd like to say Merry Christmas to all the tech support people out there. I hope you get a kick out of this.
