25 Genius Product Designs Someone Should Win An Award For

Sometimes you come across a product that is so well-designed and so clever, that you actually want to shake the hand of the person who invented it. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

Take a look at these brilliant product designs that are not only practical but definitely deserve an award (or two).

I LOVE this concept.

"This milk bottle shows you how much milk is still inside."

Apparently, this wound up being a bad idea — milk isn't meant to be exposed to sunlight, so this design was discontinued.

You win this round, Tesla.

I'm not the biggest fan of Elon Musk, but even I have to admit this is a life-saving design. Now I only have to question the logic of taking a cat for a car ride...where's its harness and leash?!

This should be on every set of sheets.

"My new sheets have tags on each side that either says 'side' or 'top or bottom'."

This would save so many of us the frustration of turning our sheets around and around until we find the long side.

This is way better than cardboard rolls!

"This toilet paper roll contains a mini paper roll to carry with you, instead of an hollow [cardboard] roll!"

I'm not sure how will it would spin on a toilet roll holder, but damn do I love how economical this is.

Apple, take notes.

"This USB connector can switch between type A and micro B."

I would love to just have one type of extension for everything, but I guess I live in a fantasy world where Apple's proprietary design doesn't run the world.

I need to do this to all of my clothes.

"This shirt has a piece of lens cloth sewn on the inside for your glasses."

Yeah, this is kind of a must for me. I clean my glasses on my shirts WAY too much, and anyone with glasses knows how effective that can be. Ugh.

These door pulls are life savers.

I've used these before, and they are GREAT. You pull on the little lever with your foot and open the door without touching anything with your hands! Great for Covid times, tbh.

It really is the little things.

"My ramen has a built-in strainer."

Before anyone gets upset: this is actually yakisoba, and so it should be drained! Don't worry, we all eat the ramen soup. It's normal.

Can every clothing company do this please?

"This company made their compression base layer shirts with tags that are easy to remove completely."

Yeah, I'm gonna need this on all my clothes now. Or skip the tag entirely and print it all on the fabric, people!

Packaging done right.

"This box pretending to contain boring flour so that it doesn’t get stolen."

This is absolutely genius. Porch pirates are getting worse, so anything companies can do it make your packages look too boring to steal is extremely welcome.

I LOVE this.

"Traffic signals with LED lights on the pole itself."

I seriously think a lot of people would benefit from this. I've seen way too many people run a red in my lifetime.

Say goodbye to digging for that scoop.

"My protein powder scoop is designed to sit on a lip just under the lid... so you don't have to reach into the powder to grab it."

As someone who uses scoops with powder pretty often, I could not love this more. It's so much cleaner!

This is not how I snack, but I respect it.

"This Korean snack has two notches on the bag, so you can open at the second notch for easier access in the later stages of snacking."

I want this.

This is a cookie holder attachment for a cup, and I think it might be one of the best things ever invented. This is the perfect invention for dunking Oreos. Man, now I want Oreos.

This couch is definitely for gamers.

I do think it's hilarious that you have to plug your couch in, but this is actually super helpful. It's hard to plug things in once an outlet is hidden behind your couch, so I'm gonna call this genius.

Card sharks will LOVE this.

"I got new playing cards that are matte black. Unless you’re looking directly at the card, [it's] basically impossible to see what they are."

This idea would slap during a mean game of Go Fish.

I love you, IKEA.

"Ikea products now come with a plastic guide to easily set nails into the backboard the correct distance from the edge."

I've used this, and it's a godsend. It makes attaching the backboard so much easier.

Whoever designed this deck is a visionary.

No need for deck chairs — the deck IS a chair. I really love this concept, but I'd definitely be putting some cushions on that thing. My butt deserves to be cushioned.

Now that's a hell of a bowl.

"Got tired of fighting with the dipping so I designed a bowl with [an] inward fold."

I feel like this is one of the next great inventions. We need to implement these in restaurants, STAT.

These curtains are anything but boring.

These are blackout curtains with white areas that allow the tiniest bit of light through! I love how fun and creative these are. They would be great for a nursery, don't you think?

I would LOVE if they installed these near me.

Those who need an audible signal can activate the crossing sound! I definitely see some flaws here, the biggest of which is that the sign isn't in braille. So, some work needs to be done here. But I like the idea!

The best office chair ever.

I've been looking for a new office chair, and now I know which one I'm going to get. I would give anything to be able to sit at my desk cross-legged! I hope it comes in pink.

This toilet is so neat.

"On many Japanese toilets, the hand wash sink is attached so that you can wash your hands and reuse the water for the next flush. Japan saves millions of liters of water every year doing this."

Whoever thought of this is a genius.

"My bike seat is also a bike pump."

Two-in-one designs are some of my favorite designs ever. I love how economical this is, and it's perfect for flat tire emergencies!

My ears are saved!

"These squeaky kids shoes have a switch to turn off the squeaking."

Thank GOD for that. I'm always happy when kids are having a good time, but sometimes that squeaking makes me want to scream.
