Just 20 Pics That Prove The World Is An Unfair Place

There are some things in this world that just seem unfair. Whether you're stuck dealing with someone who doesn't take your feelings into account, or some of the things you own just don't measure up the way they should, you'll get what I mean.

If anything, these pictures will show you the one universal truth: life just isn't fair, my dudes.

"These '100% blackout' curtains I bought."

I absolutely hate it when the thing you buy isn't actually what you want. Blackout curtains are supposed to keep sun from shining in your room. It's literally in the name! Wherever this person got the curtains from, they should be ashamed of themselves.

"How I got my change from McDonald's."

I don't know about you, but getting small change back when paying in cash is a huge pet peeve of mine. Of course, it's at least a bit better than being the cashier who has to count all the coins someone brought in for a $100+ purchase.

"Found in a house I'm working on. The owner was a 'contractor.'"

This is why some people shouldn't be allowed to do this kind of work in their own houses. Half the time, they have no idea what they're doing, and totally mess things up or make it even more dangerous for the person who has to fix it.

Washed my measuring cup and all the lines and numbers came off."

My goodness, life really, really isn't fair sometimes. I hate how something so small can be enough to ruin your whole day. And believe me, this would be the kind of thing that would ruin my day in a heartbeat.

"Noticed a small crack in my plate halfway into dinner."

I feel like some restaurants need to keep a better lookout for plates that are at risk of breaking. A good rule of thumb to follow is, if the plate got banged around a few times but still "looks" good, it's probably a ticking timebomb.

"My train today was more than two hours late."

Trains run late from time to time (a lot of the time, actually). But when they're only a few minutes late, we can deal.

A train that's a couple hours late, though? Yeah, that's just awful. It's like we don't have things to do.

"This eraser just detached for no reason."

That right there looks like a nightmare. Imagine having that happen when you're nearly done all your homework. Or worse yet, when you're in the middle of a test. And it's your only pencil. Oh man, that makes me really glad I'm not in school anymore.

When the straw thing isn't in the right spot.

Yeah, you probably can't even get the straw through the cup at that angle. And you just know the restaurant won't let you have a different lid. Because life is nothing but a series of sad, unfair things.

"I got 2 days worth of detention just because my hoodie wasn't solid black because there was some white lines if you can see it. I hate the new rules at school."

Some dress code rules make no sense. I swear, something like this just feels like teachers picking on a student for fun.

"Housesitting for uncle. Reached the final boss of the game: 'Unfamiliar Shower Controls.'"

It would've been nice if this person's uncle gave them instructions on how to use the shower. Or better yet, just had a simpler shower set up.

Imagine trying to sell a house with a bathroom like this. It would be a nightmare.

"$1 toothbrushes locked behind glass at Walmart. Walked around the store for 15 minutes looking for someone “qualified” to unlock the glass case. Then had to be escorted to the register with said $1 toothbrush."

Don't you hate it when the bad ones ruin it for the rest of us? I guess this place had high enough rates of toothbrush theft (?) that they had to lock them all up. Which seems kind of pointless.

"Just 'cause I sold it to you doesn't mean you can drink it."

Of all the rotten luck. I wonder if the person who sold this person this can knew that there was no way to open it. I mean, you could probably use a can opener, but that wouldn't be safe (or fun) to drink from.

"Seriously, Sandisk... Why?"

Just when you thought that the packaging going in a more eco-friendly direction... nope. For some reason SD cards still come like this. All for something literally the size of your pinky finger. It's like Sandisk wants to watch us all suffer.

Not even our bikes are safe from the unfairness of life.

Literally what are the odds of this happening? Because this seems like the kind of thing that only happens to the people the universe hates the most.

I don't even want to think about all the time and money that'll have to go into the repairs...

"Letting your kid watch a movie on full volume in a restaurant..."

I don't hate kids, but I get why some people do. Though, to be honest, this is more on the parents than the kid. Some people out there literally have zero consideration for other people. Like, hey! We exist, too!

"I just want a bigger pocket please, is that too much to ask for? Sincerely, women everywhere."

Okay, why is it that pockets in women's pants suck? That is, if the clothing piece even comes with pockets at all. Like, how is that fair? We carry stuff, too. And not everyone likes carrying a purse around everywhere.

"Sunlight through the window melted my keyboard."

Because of course the sun would hit the same spot on the keyboard every single day. And of course the heat from the sun is enough to actually melt the keyboard.

I think I'm about ready for a nap. This has me too riled up.

"Half of my plants weren't watered and the person I paid to specifically do that said, 'I didn't think you cared if they died, they're just plants.'"

Imagine paying someone to do a job, only for them to not do that job at all. I seriously can't get over the nerve, the sheer audacity of this person.

"When the fitted sheet keeps doing this."

Wouldn't it be nice if fitted sheets just, I dunno, fit the way they were supposed to? Even if you have yours the right way and everything, it still might do this. And that's the most unfair thing out there.

"My mom opened my package that I waited 4 weeks for and was really excited to open saying, 'I thought it was your sister’s medication.'"

It's bad enough that this person's mom opened their package, but she went and tried the shoes on, too. And then sent them a picture of the event. So upsetting. So unfair.
