15 Movie Cameos Even Die Hard Fans Probably Missed

We all love a good celebrity cameo every now and again. When executed correctly, it can bring an entirely new level of enjoyment and excitement to a film.

However, there are also instances where some of our favorite actors have appeared in classic films and we never even knew it! Have a look and check out these 15 movie cameos even die-hard fans probably missed.

Aretha Franklin in *The Blues Brothers*.

Sure, at one point in time this would have been considered a painfully obvious cameo appearance, but times have changed. There's an entire generation of young people who would likely have no idea what Aretha Franklin looked like.

Jim Carrey in *Liar Liar*.

This is actually really clever because as fans no doubt know, Jim was also the star of Liar Liar. If you look closely, right after Fletcher manages to stop the plane at the end of the film, you can see him smiling in the background dressed as a fireman.

Donald Glover in *Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse*.

"In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), a shot from Season 2 Episode 1 of Community can be seen on Uncle Aaron's TV, in which Troy, played by Donald Glover, is in his room wearing Spider-Man pajamas. Donald Glover played Aaron in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Reddit - u/Tark3000

Will Ferrell in *Impractical Jokers: The Movie*.

The best part about this cameo is that Will Ferrell has absolutely no lines whatsoever. He's simply in the background of the restaurant, peacefully eating his meal. To be honest, I didn't notice until my third time watching the movie.

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt in *Maleficent*.

"In Maleficent (2014), the young Aurora was played by Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne. The 5-year-old got the part because she was the only child who wasn’t terrified of Jolie in her Maleficent makeup. Several other younger children auditioned and wouldn’t go near her." - Reddit u/Tokyono

Peter Billingsley in *Four Christmases*.

Christmas movie diehards will no doubt recall Peter Billingsley from playing Ralphie in Jean Shepherd's immortal classic A Christmas Story.

In Four Christmases, he plays the snooty airline clerk who help[s Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn after their flight is canceled.

Taylor Swift's cat in *Deadpool 2*.

"In Deadpool 2 (2018), Wade wears a shirt that says: "Olivia & Meredith. Best Friends Purrrr-ever". The two cats actually belong to Taylor Swift. The production crew had to get permission from her to use their image." - Reddit u/Numerous-Lemon

Elizabeth Hanks in *Forrest Gump*.

Remember that mean little girl at the beginning of the film who won't let Forrest sit next to her? It turns out that she's Tom Hanks' real-life daughter, Elizabeth! Now that I know, the resemblance is easy to spot.

Dean Cundey in *Back To The Future Part III*.

"In BTTF part 3 (1990), the photographer that takes a picture of Marty and Doc is played by Dean Cundey, who was director of photography on all three Back to the Future movies." - Reddit u/Numerous-Lemon

Carrie Fisher in *Scream 3*.

By no means is Carrie Fisher hard to recognize in Scream 3. Rather, it's the pure metaphysical nature of her character, combined with the total randomness of the situation, that makes this one a must mention.

Gal Gadot's husband and her youngest daughter appear in *Wonder Woman 1984*.

"In Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), the blond man on the right is Gal Gadot's husband, Yaron Varsano. And the little girl is Maya, their younger daughter." - Reddit u/Numerous-Lemon

Chita Rivera in *Chicago*.

"In Chicago (2002), the first inmate Roxie Hart talks to in jail is played by Chita Rivera. Rivera originated the role of Velma Kelly when "Chicago" debuted on Broadway in 1975." - Reddit u/yumyumapollo

Chris Gardner in *The Pursuit Of Happyness*.

The real-life Chris Gardner makes an appearance at the end of the film. He walks past Will and Jaden Smith and just as the credits are about to roll, Will looks back as if he recognizes him.

Peter Billingsley (again) in *Elf*.

Peter Billingsley is no cotton-headed ninny-muggins —he just loves Christmas! He plays Will Ferrell's supervisor in Elf and is the one who spills the beans about Buddy being a human being.

I've gotta say — I love that hat.

Glenn Close in *Hook*.

This just might be my favorite surprise celebrity cameo appearance of all time. Imagine the gall of Steven Spielberg asking prime Glenn Close if she'd like to have a cameo role where she's dressed as a man and quickly killed off 30 seconds after appearing on screen. It's brilliant.
