20 Odd Things That Are As Random As They Are Weird

There are some super cool things out in the world. Thing we've probably never seen before. But there are also a lot of really weird things out there that just seem super random.

This list is full of the most random things, which is perfectly fine. Sometimes it's kind of fun to look at all the oddities out there in the world.

This little pentagram design in this fence for some reason.

I'm not gonna lie, this is a little suspicious. Why is this design in just this one part of the fence? Who put it there? Is this, like, some kind of portal to a demonic underworld? Maybe we shouldn't get these questions answered.

This wasps' nest that's balancing on a tiny Christmas light somehow.

Wasps will put their nests literally anywhere. Inside your bathroom window, inside your bathroom... anywhere.

Still, I wouldn't expect something like this to happen. How is it even staying on that light without the whole thing falling down? I'm both creeped out and impressed.

"A Pick Lady apple with a perfect stripe of Golden Delicious."

Is this actually two different apple species in one? Because if so, that's actually so cool! I wonder if the whole thing tastes like a combination of the two, or if each section tastes like its own breed. I guess there'd be one way to find out.

"A fruit fly walked across my chocolate Peppermint Pattie as it cooled - leaving foot prints."

Fruit flies are, thankfully, pretty harmless. They land on your food, and you can at least still eat it. That being said, I don't know if I could eat that, knowing that a fruit fly spent way to much time walking around on it.

This SpongeBob popsicle that... could've looked better.

To be completely honest, this SpongeBob popsicle could've looked a lot worse. Like, nightmare fuel worse. That doesn't mean this one is pretty, though. It's still ugly and slightly unsettling. But, like, I'd still probably eat one if I had the chance to do so.

The color pattern on this raspberry.

It's almost like one side of the raspberry sucked all the color out of the other side, leaving it perfectly split in the middle. I wonder if that would change the taste of the berry, or if it would just be the same. Again, only one way to find out.

"The way rain water went through this stack of paper plates."

I guess this is a lesson on how not to store paper plates when it's raining. Or in general, I guess. Because rain will affect the plates' integrity, and leave them soggy messes.

And then, of course, they dry up. And leave this. Not so fun.

This Goodie Girl cookie that has a letter missing.

The fact that the picture of the girl printed on the cookie depicts her with her hands in her face, this is a perfect storm. It's amazing how one missing letter can turn a perfectly innocent phrase into something a lot more threatening.

Spider-Man and the Green Goblin are just hanging out on this house.

To be fair, this person does have pretty good taste in fictional characters. Just... not great taste in exterior decor. The vines coupled with the Spider-Man and Green Goblin figures... yeah, that's not really working out as well as the homeowner probably thought.

This kitty cat is a real hear breaker!

No, I won't apologize for that pun (it was great and you know it). But how could I help myself after looking at the perfect broken heart design on this cat? It's actually kind of amazing, even if it is a totally bizarre coincidence.

"This plastic fork was molded imperfectly and is filled with air bubbles."

On one hand, this is kind of a lazy defect that probably could've been avoided easily. But on the other hand, the fork actually looks cool. A lot cooler than a single use plastic fork has any right being.

"A 2-headed brontosaurus toy I picked up from a rummage sale."

Based on the fact that each head has a different expression, I'm willing to bet this was no accident. So then, why did some company decided to make a two-headed dinosaur toy? We may never know. There are some things in life we just have to accept.

"The folks before us only put 19 cents in their tank."

There's honestly no explanation for this that makes any sense. 19 cents? 19 cents? That's barely enough to pay for a few minutes of driving! It definitely isn't worth going all the way to a gas station for. Just so strange and totally random.

"This keyboard on display at Best Buy has almost all of its keycaps stolen."

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Sure, you could take a cap off a keyboard in a Best Buy display. But, why would you? What's the point, other than making it harder for people to look at the display?

This mushroom with an unexpected greeting on it.

I guess someone at some point stamped this mushroom with the word "hello." Why and when this happened will probably remain a mystery. But don't worry, at least the mushroom isn't actually trying to talk to the person who bought it. Right?

This strangely threatening fortune cookie fortune.

I swear, the people who decide what phrases go on fortune cookies must have too much fun at times. We know deep down that these fortunes aren't real (dad, I know), so it's not like this is an actual threat. But still, creepy.

"Static electricity from work today."

Whoa, that's so cool! I've seen plenty of pictures of lighting strikes (with all the storms that have been happening this summer), but never a picture of electricity being conducted in real time! I wonder how much power a charge like this would give off.

"That one time a vulture flew in my bathroom."

This is what happens when you leave your window open and don't have a screen. Though, usually, you'd find little robins and chickadees hanging out inside your house. Not vultures.

I'm sure it's perfectly harmless, but I'd still want that thing out of my house pronto.

Looks like someone wants to be let in.

Doorbell cameras can pick up the strangest things. Like bugs that just so happen to get too close to the sensor. I probably wouldn't let this visitor in, but at least it makes for a pretty cool picture you can share with your friends.

"A baby black bear stealing my Dad’s trash."

Welp, that's what happens when you leave trash outside and you live in the middle of the woods. I'm not sure if this is better or worse than finding a raccoon going through your trash, but it's not like either scenario is ideal.
