20 Popular Pics That Make You Do A Double Take

Are you ever scrolling through pictures, only to stop and go back because you can't believe the last thing you just saw? Yeah, happens a lot. Especially when all the images you see online are just so strange.

Like these ones, which are so odd, you may have to stare at them for a few seconds, look away, and then stare at them some more.

This family of bugs that just hatched.

This is the kind of thing that I'd look at, look at again, and then look away from. Bugs are gross, and this many of them in the same place, being hatched? Yeah, it's giving me the creeps, that's for sure. Keep them far away from me.

"A bird crashed into this dusty window."

I get that birds can't really see windows, and might crash into them. But this bird should've at least been able to tell that there was something solid there. It really makes you wonder what goes through those creatures' heads when they're flying.

This strikingly blue house.

Have you ever taken a walk down the street, only to find a super weird building that seems out of place? This is that building. It's so blue. Why it's so blue, we'll probably never know. But I wouldn't blame you if you just kept staring at it.

Coupons, coupons *everywhere*!

That's an absurd amount of coupons. In the technology age, where you can access coupons on your smartphone, you don't even need to have coupons like this anymore. I guess this is more of a relic of the past? Either way, it's a pretty cool sight to see.

A mattress pocket for all your essentials.

Apparently, some mattresses come with pockets? Sometimes you need a pocket to keep things, like snacks, or your wallet (?). Well, whatever the case, you can probably agree that this is a bit of a weird concept. Maybe it just takes some getting used to.

Is... this a problem that needs to be addressed?

It's pretty telling when a place has to put up an oddly specific sign. Like this sign, which happens to be at a cemetery. That apparently has a gaming problem?

Who's been out there playing games when families are trying to mourn? Seems in pretty bad taste.

"This grave stone I found in the woods."

Since you'd expect to find graves at cemeteries, you wouldn't expect something like this. This headstone is seemingly floating in a creek, with no other stones around. Either this is someone's final resting place, or it got lost somehow.

Is this bad luck? It seems a little bit like bad luck.

A bee covered in too much pollen.

Yes, that's a bee. And yes, that bee is covered in more pollen than it knows what to do with. How this happened is beyond me. But hopefully it'll drop that pollen off at a bunch of different flowers and keep nature kicking.

"Every high-school horror movie field."

I wouldn't be caught dead walking along that field. The chance of weird monsters or zombie cheerleaders attacking you on a misty field at night is probably super low, but it isn't zero.

I really want to look away from this field, but I just can't.

"This tiny grater I found at a yard sale."

Look at this tiny grater! Look at how tiny it is! It could definitely do a good job shredding cheese, but in a compact, adorable way.

They usually aren't this small, and as cute as this one is, it's kind of jarring at the same time.

"A photo I took looks like a glitch in a game because of reflections."

Don't worry, the glitched gorilla can't hurt you. Even if it looks like the last thing your player character would see before you get the Game Over screen.

Jokes aside, that's a pretty cool effect. Lighting and reflections are so weird.

Look closely at the latch on the door.

You see that S. It's the S. The one that all of us learned to draw/write in elementary school. It never went away, it just became part of a CVS back entrance.

Bet you haven't thought about that S in a long time, either.

"Found some tadpoles in our son’s old sand table."

This is when you take the table and throw it away. That's way too many tadpoles. And you know what tadpoles do, right? They become frogs. That's way too many frogs.

At first, though, it just looks like dirt. I'd hate to see them all moving.

"How this glass stir rod disappears inside this glass flask."

It looks like the stir rod is floating above the liquid, doesn't it? If you look really closely, you can sort of see the bottom part in the liquid. But it's just really faint. Funny how light and reflections can make things look so different.

Is that a rock? Or, is it bread?

Sadly, no, it isn't a piece of bread. It's a rock that just so happens to look like bread. Confusing? Yes. Tempting to pick it up and try taking a bite out of it? Only if you're someone who eats things off the floor (ew).

When you and your drink can match.

It isn't everyday that you just so happen to find someone with hair that matches the color of the can you're drinking. They may not be a perfect color match, but it's still pretty funny.

Seriously, though, what are the odds of this happening?

"Building a mountain road in China."

Building a road isn't a big deal. Building a road on the side of a mountain? A big deal.

How anyone can do this without being absolutely terrified the whole time is beyond me. Even if you don't have a fear of heights, that's got to be scary.

"FedEx left a ‘we missed you’ door tag at this UPS store."

Are... are they allowed to do that? Since UPS and FedEx are basically rivals, you'd think they'd avoid using each other's services. Plus, wouldn't the FedEx person just bring the slip inside? Maybe this is some kind of prank.

"Stuck in traffic. Saw two cars in front of me that had sequential license plates."

I'm not really sure how licence plates work. Do you get the next one in a sequence, or is it randomly generated when you buy the car?

Either way, the odds of this happening seem pretty low. It definitely deserves a second glance.

Hey, wait, there's a rainbow in that water!

Light, reflections, refractions, etc., etc.. Rainbows may not make a lot of sense (and neither does this, frankly), but they're here (and they at least make sense to someone).

On the plus side, the rainbow won't affect the quality of the water. It's like an added bonus.
