15 Women Share The Adorable Ways Their Partners Show They Love Them

John Lennon once said that it matters not how you love, where you love, or why you love — it only matters that you love. Truer words were never spoken.

So in an effort to spread the love around, women of Twitter have come together to celebrate their partners. Full disclosure, be prepared to say "aww" at least a half-a-dozen times.

When they chose to better their self for the other.

They say that you know you've found true love the moment you realize you're living for someone other than yourself. We should all strive to be better and to do better for our partners.

Letting them know that they aren't alone.

"After telling him I was extremely weak and nauseous after my first round of chemo, he came with bud, a smoothie, and stayed with me overnight. That was a couple months in, and he’s still my best friend a year later." - Twitter @lssues

By not turning away when times get rough.

Serious injury or illness has a way of impacting a relationship that makes it impossible for most people to carry on. Being your partner's emotional support as well as their caregiver is above and beyond.

When they want to be your sole support in any time of need.

"Well, one day he was genuinely upset with me but tried to hide it. When I finally asked, he told me he was offended that I didn't go to him for help. He wanted to be the first person I ran to - whatever it was that I needed." - Twitter @jazzie815

The way to a woman's heart is through her stomach.

Early on in our relationship, my fiancee brought me soup and popsicles while I was sick with strep throat. It was in that moment that I knew she was going to be the person I shared the rest of my life with.

"He would tuck the blanket under me and give me kisses before he would leave for work every day," @sleepyskyee tweeted out.

Kisses are all fine and dandy, but I'd still prefer a hot cup of coffee instead.

By showing patience and a calm approach.

One thing I've learned (the hard way) is that communication is the key to a good relationship. You can't just blow up and scream at someone like a crazy person, especially someone you love.

When they aren't afraid to show their emotions.

"I was living in a toxic situation and one night he came over to comfort me because I was having a mental breakdown. Literally in the middle of me bawling my eyes out because I was so hurt I looked over to see this man crying too!" - Twitter @_nydirahhh

By affirming how great their partner is...even while they sleep.

Part of me thinks that this is adorable but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't marginally creeped out. If I ever woke up and someone was hovering over me, whispering nondescript, I'd have some questions.

By being their best friend.

"After everything even me pushing him away, he always made sure i[sic] was ok….always made sure he could be there even if i[sic] wanted to vent. He looked through my emotional state and still wanted to make me his wife. He is the calm in my storm and has helped me so much." - Twitter @Miamore5623

When they couldn't stop staring.

Don't get me wrong, this is an incredibly cute sentiment. I just can't stand it when people start their sentences with "yo." I immediately start reading everything that precedes it in a stereotypical surfer-style kind of way.

Reminding them to take their vitamins in the cutest way possible.

"i kept forgetting to take my vitamins and was losing a lot of weight and he showed up with one of those old lady pill cases for me to keep in my backpack." - Twitter @psymulation

By showing concern for their well-being.

I'm confused... your boyfriend was turning on the shower for you because you didn't want to get your hair wet? What did you think was going to happen after you stepped into the shower?

Through giving them a second chance at prom.

"i[sic] told him i never had a prom date. one evening he came over, turned some music on and made me get out my bed to slow dance with him. he[sic] called it my prom re-do." - Twitter @staydope_xoxo

When they make sacrifices.

A willingness to change and evolve as a person is no small feat. By quitting smoking not only were they showing how much they loved and cared about @alesha_murr but they also wound up making probably the best health-related decision of their life.
