Being frugal is an acquired skill. I feel like it's one thing I've learned since I was a kid. I'm always on the lookout for the best bargains and ways to save money. If it's not grocery shopping, then it's the big-ticket items.

1. This Gift Wrapping Idea

There is absolutely no reason to buy gift wrapping anymore. Not if you want to be frugal or environmentally friendly. Instead, there are plenty of cheaper options. You can reuse old cool magazines or even sheet music.

2. This Reused Crib

What can you do with that old crib your kids no longer need? Well, as you can see, you can turn it into some awesome outdoor furniture. It comes in handy for Halloween, too. What a fantastic idea, huh?

3. This Artful Project

This person didn't want to waste the failed films, so they actually turned them into little paintings. Oh my goodness. Why haven't I thought of that? Such a cool art project and fun decor to have.

4. This Cool Shelf

If you're into music, you should get a kick out of this shelf. Somebody was smart enough to make one out of recycled thrift store speakers. Isn't this the most clever thing or what? I love it.

5. This Garlic Tip

This person spent about $2 on four heads of garlic. Now they have over seventy heads of garlic all braided together. Wow, I bet there are no vampires in this house, ha, ha! I want to try that, too.

Who needs to buy those expensive chip clips when you can simply reuse your clothespins? Oh my goodness, I'm getting up right now to find some. Why haven't I thought of this idea? So smart.

I learned this a long time but for those who don't know, let me tell you. Never buy pre-cut fruits as you will pay a premium for them. Buy the whole fruit and just cut it up yourself. Don't be lazy, okay?

8. This Dress Makeover

Who says you need to spend a ton to get a stunning dress? This talented lady added some beading and appliques to this rust-stained dress, and voilĂ ! She was able to wear it to a wedding.

9. This Mirror Hack

I bet buying an oversized mirror is pretty expensive. That's what this couple thought, too. So instead of breaking the bank, they settled on six small closet door mirrors on sale for $4 each. Don't they look fab?

10. This Meat Buying Tip

When you're buying meat that's on sale make sure you check the weight. You could end up overpaying for something much cheaper than you think. Wow, I didn't even realize that. What a great tip, right?

11. This Rock Staircase

If you have access to some rocks you can use, you're in luck. I would love to make a staircase like this in our backyard. Don't you think it's not only usable but also so pretty to look at, huh?

12. This Motherload

This person asked a local farm if they had any damaged produce they couldn't sell. They turned around and gave away all this stuff for free. Wow, I should do that, too, ha, ha! It's worth a try, right?

13. This Dye Job

Why throw away a perfectly usable backpack only because it looks a bit haggard? This person used some cheap dye and brought it back to life. I think I like it even better now. What do you think?
