People Are Making Watering Stations To Help Keep Bees Hydrated

Nature is so wonderful. Isn't it? I always marvel at what animals and insects can do to make our world better. Take the humble bee, for example, these little bees work so hard.

They pollinate our flowers and help them grow. In turn, those plants feed other species. So how can we help the bee population prosper? Here's an interesting idea to consider.

Just like you and me, they need it to survive. But it can't always be easy for bees to find safe drinking water. So you can do your part to help them.

You may think that bees have easy access to water through ponds and lakes and such.

That's true. However, they are also a tasty snack for birds and fish. They also can't swim very well. So finding a safe watering place can be challenging for them.

But leave it to some crafty folks to come up with a clever idea to help the bees.

As it turns out, people are making DIY watering stations to keep those busy bees well-hydrated. And I'm going to show you how you can do it, too.

The concept is really simple and easy to set up.

All you need is to create a safe space for the bees to land and drink some water. You can do it by putting out a bowl filled with water.

But remember, bees can't swim, so you need to put something for them to land on, right?

That's why it's a good idea to place a few rocks inside the water bowl. This way, they can safely get that drink of life-saving water.

Folks have even stepped up their game and used some colored marbles in their watering bowls.

Go wild and decorate the bowl any way you like. Just make sure the rocks or marbles are not submerged too much for the bees to safely land.

See? This doesn't have to be an expensive endeavor at all.

You can get it all prepared by using items from the dollar store. There are so many cool ideas out there of people doing this watering station. I hope you get the point.

Of course, if you want to you can make something special.

Check out this cute watering station somebody created here. I bet the bees will really appreciate it. They might not say "thank you," but this is totally life-saving for them.

So what's your take on this bee watering station idea?

I have to admit I would never have thought of it. Now that I know how important it is, I would like to set something like it in my backyard.
