It will save you from buying Swiffer liquid refill bottles. Doesn't that sound good or what? I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for saving money any way I can.

Okay, the first thing you need to do is pop that refill bottle out of your Swiffer wet jet.

It's what you normally do when you want to insert a new refill bottle which sounds about right. Nothing too special about this step.

Then, pour some water into a mug and warm it up in the microwave for about one-two minutes.

Next, you need to insert the Swiffer bottle lid into the steaming water for about 30 seconds. And guess what, the lid of the bottle will just pop off.

Get ready for the genius hack that comes next, ha, ha!

Once the lid pops off, you can now pour whatever cleaning agent you would like to use. You can buy something at the dollar store or even use your own cleaning solution.

Now, just put the bottle back on the Swiffer wet jet and voilà! Easy peasy.

You just saved yourself plenty of dough not buying those expensive bottle refills. Who knew it was easy as that? Honestly, I had no idea.

After this TikTok user posted her hack folks started commenting STAT!

So many of them loved this easy cleaning tip. As it turns out, I'm not the only one who loves saving money. Don't you love when people come up with easy solutions like this?

Some folks even joked that once Swiffer learns of this hack, they won't be too happy about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to say that only their cleaning product is the best on the market, huh?

The fact that now you don't have to rely on these refills at all. You can use your favorite cleaning product or make an all-natural solution. That's what I would do for sure.

Other folks also suggested that you can also buy a washable cloth instead of disposable ones.

Not only is it better for the environment and a great eco-friendly option, but it will save you a ton, too. I like that.

If you run into trouble and you can't seem to get the top of the refill bottle to pop off, use this tip.

Make sure the water is super hot. It will make it easier for it to come off.

Some folks commented that it's not just the cost that they're annoyed with here.

It's the fact that the mop doesn't come with a refillable option that would make it truly eco-friendly. I think that's something Swiffer should consider. Don't you think?

So then other people chimed into this conversation and offered more suggestions.

I've got to admit that I really like how this whole group is putting their thinking caps on. If we did that more often, we would have so many other options, no?

Then, of course, you can just go back to the way we used to clean things the "old-fashioned" way.

You know, with a bucket of water and Lysol and some elbow grease. Ha, ha! I don't know if I'm ready to go back to that.

So is this cleaning hack pretty genius or what?

I've got to admit I feel a little embarrassed that I didn't think of doing that before. It's so simple and easy to do. Let me ask you: Are you ready to start saving money ASAP?
