Real Estate Agents Share Photos Of The Weirdest Homes They've Encountered

Real estate agents are in the unique position of seeing the best of what the market has available to the worst of its offerings. And when I say the worst I mean the most unusual and weird architectural designs and some bizarre house flaws no one should ever encounter.

Check out the pictures below and you'll know what I mean.

Seeing Yellow

Somehow I don't think the people who own this house have heard of the concept of staging, where you empty the house and make it appealing for the buyer. This yellow theme is a big fat no for me.

Stairway To Death

Go ahead, take a dip in this bathtub — if you're brave that is. Unless you want to plummet to your death, just stay away from here.

Co-ed Toilets

Um, call me weird but I actually like to go to the bathroom by myself. Why would anyone put two toilets like this in the same room?

Feeling Lazy

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

If you're so lazy that you can't get out of bed and walk over to the bathroom to take a bath I feel bad for you. Yikes! I guess the convenience could be a selling feature for some people.

Sheer Bathroom Curtain

I could almost forgive the awful carpeting, the unusual tub, and the fact that the bedroom and bathroom are in the same space, but a sheer toilet curtain? C'mon! Plus, what's with all these bedrooms that have a bathtub in them?

Bake And Bathe

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

This kitchen on its own wouldn't be such an eyesore if it wasn't for the fact that there's a bathtub right there. I mean, why? I feel like whoever designed this house goofed but it was too late to fix it.

Wallpaper Horror

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

I can't believe that every single item in this bathroom has the same pattern on it. Did a flower shop throw up in here? Help! Also, when did fuzzy, floral toilet bowl brushes become a thing? Anybody?

Four-Poster Bathtub

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

I can't even comprehend what's going on here. Why is there a four-poster bathtub that's covered with carpet? How is this even usable? Can someone explain this to me? I am so, so confused.

Drapes Anyone?

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

This is probably the weirdest way to hang drapes that I've ever seen. Who thought this would be a good idea? Good luck with selling this house.

Pattern Me Happy

Speaking of unusual kitchen designs, just what's wrong with this place? Is it the weird patterns on the kitchen cabinets or all those bottles being used as decoration? I feel like if I stared at this image too long, I'd get dizzy. Next!

Odd Decorating Choice

"Honey, I found the perfect place for our wall-mounted, naked, limbless, gender-neutral toddler dolls." Why would anyone ruin this bright and airy space with those?

Cleanliness Problem

At the very least, couldn't these people have cIeaned up a little? I don't even want to know what went on in this bathroom by the looks of it. Just get me the heck outta here ASAP.

For The Very Religious Types

Instagram | @theterriblerealestatephotos

I dunno about you but I really don't feel comfortable with the Virgin Mary looking at me while I'm chilling in my bedroom. I suppose some people would take comfort in knowing that she's watching over them.

Missing Fireplace

Instagram | @theterriblerealestatephotos

At first glance, nothing seems out of the ordinary in this place. Then, you notice that there's wood but no actual fireplace. It's just a hole in the wall for stacking wood. Huh?

Bad Vibes

Perhaps these people really don't want to sell their place after all because these creepy masks are giving me a serious case of the heebie-jeebies. You too?

Cat Crazy

Bad MLS Photos

If you thought you were a little bit obsessed with cats, you ain't seen nothing yet. Check out this house straight out of a "cat lady" nightmare. I just need to know how many cats this owner actually has.

Hoarders' Paradise

If you ever watched the show Hoarders this probably won't be a surprise to you. But I can't bring myself to watch it, so this is awful. Sadly, it's hard to see what this home actually looks like with all the stuff in the way.

Mood Killer

Instagram | @theterriblerealestatephotos

This would be such an awesome way to display a piano for the music lovers out there if it wasn't for the dead animal right underneath it. I'm not gonna lie, I thought that was a real animal at first. Ah!

Indoor Off-Roading

Instagram | @theterriblerealestatephotos

Why would anyone keep an off-roading vehicle right in their house? Especially when they're trying to show the place to potential buyers? Maybe it comes with the house?

This Bizarre Situation

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

Is this supposed to be a bathroom? I mean, I see a toilet and a sink but why is there a sitting area with a table and chairs? This is making me feel slightly uncomfortable, to say the least.

Mind-Boggling Decor

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

I'm such a fan of minimalistic home decor. The cleaner and neater the better. This is the exact opposite of what I'm talking about. I honestly don't know where my eyes should look. This is a tad bit too much. No?

This Toilet

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

I dunno if putting butterflies on your toilet is going to make it that much more inviting. Looking at this, it's actually giving me the opposite vibe here. Is this something you would do at your house?

This Mirror

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

You gotta give these people some credit for trying to utilize this awkward corner, no? I don't think I would go this way but to each their own I guess. This might make you go cross-eyed, though.

Upside Down Door Style

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

You pretty much know you've hired the wrong people if this is their idea of installing your front door. I could probably have done a better job with this and I'm not even an expert.

Tiny Drapes Anyone?

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole idea of curtains was to cover the windows... Right? So what are these tiny drapes even doing here? What is their purpose? This is definitely not a good aesthetic.

Island Bathroom

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

This is exactly what I always wanted: a bathroom with huge windows so everybody can see me and my tropical decor too, haha. Perhaps this room should have been a living room instead of the loo.

This Mantel

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

I completely understand when somebody installs a mantel in their living room. That's definitely the rightful place for it. But why would you put one in the bathroom? I absolutely have no words for this. I'm totally baffled.

Seeing Orange

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

OMG, I think I'm going blind just looking at this monstrosity. If I had to live in a house with a bathroom like this one I would surely go crazy in no time. My eyes, my eyes!

Moo

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

Wow, whoever designed this kitchen must've grown up on a farm or something because this cow is starting to freak me out. She's looking at me. LOL!

Claustrophobic Nightmare

Facebook | Venessa Van Winkle

Why are the worst places in people's homes always the bathroom? As if I wasn't claustrophobic enough, I would be forced to go here?

Wow, I had no idea gems like this even existed.

How in the heck did these people even think they could sell their houses like this? Weird or what?
