Rude Lady Won't Leave Parking Spot, So Construction Crew Takes Savage Revenge

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but really, you've got to take your shot when you have the chance. Take it from these construction workers who are serving up some piping hot parking justice to a rude lady who really should have known better — and she sure does now.

As the foreman on a house-build described, a rude driver inspired some nasty instant karma that could have been easily avoided.

The foreman explained that the house had an odd location, requiring materials to be hand delivered uphill along a foot path that had two parking spots at the bottom of the hill marked with no parking signs.

They would let folks use them to pick up kids from the nearby school as long as no deliveries were being made, and folks were generally good about leaving when they were in the way.

So normally, all was well in construction land.

But one day, with a big lumber delivery just minutes away, a mom parked in one of those spots and refused to budge.

So the foreman politely asked the lady to move so the lumber truck driver wouldn't have to stop in the middle of the street and hold up traffic while they unloaded.

His first attempt was met with, "I'll just be a few minutes, and your truck isn't here, take a chill pill, dude."

And before he could make another plea with the mom, the lumber truck pulled up. So he tried again to get her to move her car, still polite but a little more forcefully. Her response?

"Can't you just unload around me? Jesus, it's not that hard."

Remember, just by listening, she could have avoided all this. Instead, her rude reply gave the foreman an idea.

And you really don't want to give a construction crew ideas for revenge. Can you see where this is going?

Unloading around her was exactly what the foreman did, but not before getting the lumber truck to block her in between another parked car and a porta potty.

At first, the mom didn't realize what was going on.

The crew unstrapped the load and started carting it up the foot path, while the foreman called the parking enforcement officer to explain the situation.

"At this point in time I wasn't trying to get her in trouble, I just wanted a record of why we were blocking part of the street so we don't get in trouble with the city."

The parking enforcement officer promised to come out to see the scene, and meanwhile, the mom figured out the problem.

She had to scramble out her passenger door before putting her kid in the back seat. And she wasn't going anywhere. With the load unstrapped, the truck couldn't move.

The mom lost it. Just as the parking officer arrived, the foreman turned her own line back on her. "Can't you just pull out around it? It's not that hard."

Yeah, cue the tantrum. With her kid now in her car, the mom got back behind the wheel, reversed into the porta potty, drove up onto the curb and sidewalk, and promptly got her car stuck — while the parking officer watched.

How savage is that karma? Well, after the mom got slapped in handcuffs, a background check turned up a suspended license.

So it wasn't just her car in a jail. She got charged with reckless driving, destruction of property, and driving with a suspended license — and her car got towed. In front of her kid.

All of which was ridiculously unnecessary. If she had just been polite and moved her car in the first place, none of that would have happened.

And readers on Reddit had some interesting insights of their own about the story.

As one person pointed out, things could easily have been much, much worse for the driver.

Just imagine if, in her state of rage, she had destroyed that porta potty with someone inside?

So that near-miss kinda makes it all better — she got her visit from karma for being a jerk, and all she ever did was make it worse for herself.

But nobody got seriously hurt.

Still, the fact that it all went down in front of her kid is pretty sad.

You just have to hope this all served as a wake-up call for the mom.

And in the end, it's almost a little far-fetched that anyone could put themselves so far in a hole.

But there's no way anyone could just make all this up, could they? We've all seen stupidity snowball like that, haven't we?
