14+ Questionable Pics That Need To Go Far Far Away

It's funny how much our level of bravery can fluctuate sometimes. I'm the type to watch a horror movie right before I go to bed like it's nothing, but if one weird noise or passing shadow hits at the wrong time, it's a different story.

Sure, that weird screeching noise out back is probably just what happens when a fox's dinner complains about its situation, but in that moment, every disturbing creature I've never believed in suddenly exists and is in my back yard.

So I guess how much you'll enjoy the bizarre sights on display here depends on the kind of day you're having. But if you're feeling pretty fearless, enjoy.

Having a mysterious liquid leak out of your outlets is never pleasant, but it's hard to tell whether explaining it makes it better.

For those who haven't figured it out, that substance is actually honey and that means exactly what it sounds like it does: The walls are full of bees.

Sadly, what starts as a lovely tribute to a dear family member can really take a left turn into Creepytown once enough time passes.

Cemeteries aren't usually the most relaxing places to begin with, but that goes double when it comes with a photo of what looks like someone being possessed.

I'm sure there's a fantastic reason that somebody shoved this tooth into a church wall.

Reddit | savtheanimal

To be fair, this is apparently a Typodont tooth made from plastic, but that still doesn't answer why it's here.

If anything, that just raises further questions.

San Francisco Church in Lima, Peru has an...interesting choice of décor.

Reddit | basementapproved

According to Atlas Obscura, the catacombs of this place contain the bones of an estimated 70,000 people and they're all arranged this carefully.

Unsurprisingly, this makes for an experience that's both creepy and beautiful.

It's perfectly natural to wonder what's happening next to this guy, but you should technically be just as worried about both of them.

Reddit | Ingrahamlincoln

That's because neither of these people actually exist, but are instead a collage of facial features assembled by an A.I.

Maybe this is only unnerving to me because I already know there's a non-zero chance I'd accidentally sit in it.

Reddit | WubbaDucky

In all likelihood, this is some kind of art piece. At least, that's definitely the least worrying reason somebody would go to all the trouble to make a chair out of broken glass.

I suppose we should count our blessings that we're seeing this doll in the daytime.

Reddit | wikidchicken

There's also the fact that this photo is a little overexposed. After all, do we really need a crisp, HD picture of her smiling creepily?

Hopefully, it eases the squirming a little to say that this is what sourdough yeast looks like when you don't give it fresh flour for a few days.

Reddit | KaraKaraO

I never knew how much baking certain types of bread was like taking care of a demanding pet, but even the most annoying dog is much cuter than these little guys.

OK, the scene here wasn't exactly as creepy as it looks, but it was pretty close.

Reddit | DejectedSoul

Apparently, the photographer came across these shadowy kids walking and added those glowing eyes to the photo.

But really, on the wrong night, they could probably make somebody jump even without the eyes.

This is a 17th century "insanity" mask, which probably means it was scarier to wear this than it was to see it.

Reddit | differentviewz

As you might expect, treatment of mental health issues at the time left a lot to be desired.

According to Concordia University at St. Paul, asylums at the time were overcrowded and filthy and treatment often involved wearing restraints like this and taking ice water baths.

This is why it's really not a good idea to run around with a spoon in your mouth.

So if your parents always scolded you for leaving the bathroom while you were brushing your teeth growing up, this is what they were trying to prevent.

In case you can't make it out, the message on this mirror says "I'm watching you."

Reddit | sellmeadog

And sure, the most likely scenario is that someone decided to be cheeky and write that in after they took a shower.

But what if it's not a joke?

This may look unnerving, but this tree isn't exactly bleeding.

Reddit | afterdroid

At least, no more than any other tree does when you cut into it. According to Gizmodo, this "blood," is actually the sap of the wild teak.

And the reason it looks so...colorful is because of the tannins in the sap, which are the same chemicals that give wines their individual "textures."

I guess it's nice to know that whoever owns this building is aware of the big hole in their wall?

Reddit | fetuscarnitas

Although as reassuring signs go, ominously calling it "The Pit" falls a little short compared to something like "We know, the guy's coming in on Monday."

A tree growing near a grave can be a lovely symbol of the circle of life. That is, until it gets windy enough.

Reddit | DarthGaff

So yes, not only did the wind get strong enough to blow this tree over, but its roots had apparently found a way into the coffin and now it's seeing daylight for the first time in who knows how long.

This is what the sky looked like after fire raged at a Houston chemical plant for several days.

Reddit | IMADINNERJACKET

And it's not just unpleasant to look at, either. As Gizmodo reported, 1,000 people in the area sought treatment due to the 9 million pounds of pollutants—including carcinogenic benzene—the fire released into the air.

That is one big mushroom.

Reddit | Sketchie

Like, how long was the thing growing in this guy's front yard before he thought "yeah, that seems too big"? Some of the commenters think it's edible, but I wouldn't trust the opinion of internet strangers in this case.

Yeah, this apartment is haunted.

Reddit | redmooncat15

According to the poster: "My apartment in college had a tombstone of a baby in the basement. Landlord said it was there when he bought the building and he didn’t feel right moving it."

Nothing to see here.

Reddit | kevinowdziej

It definitely looks like this lady is waiting for someone, which wouldn't be so weird if she wasn't holding a rusty axe.

This is why you should clean out the drain more often.

Reddit | mimibbuu

Really, just clear it out whenever you're wiping down the shower/tub. Don't wait for the water to stop draining properly, because it'll be so so gross.

If your grandma has this in her garage, question everything.

Reddit | dimworker

For some reason, the Redditor never bothered to ask their grandmother why a Santa bear was caged up on the garage wall. That would be the first question that should be asked.

Another weird, deformed egg.

Reddit | hilltophermit

Proving that Redditors know everything, a commenter chimed in to let the user know that this could be a sign of illness in the hen.

"Foul odor traced to this nightmare, under the staircase hidden beneath grating."

Reddit | Dr_Peuss

There should never be a random sewer pipe open and hidden under your stairs. That can't possibly be to code.

So this is what happens when you stop combing your hair.

reddit | ArentYouPrecious

I know someone who had an experience with something like this...but now it seems tame in comparison.

Someone is obsessed with "The Big Bang Theory."

reddit | GlobeTrekker83

Or, they've found an amazing way to use the carpool lane.
