Going to the hairdresser can be a seriously stressful thing. You're putting a lot of trust in your stylist, and sometimes things don't work out as planned.
Other times, people try to be their own hairdresser, and that doesn't work out either. All I can say is that you just have to leave it to the experts — the ones who actually know what they're doing.
And her hairdresser really let her down. They should have known that this technique wasn't within their skill set and referred the client to someone who could do this.
Hopefully, they were able to fix it!
I really wish we could have seen what she asked for.

This girl asked for straight across bangs like the bottom picture, and ended up leaving the salon with the top pic.
This is tragic.
Undercuts take some skill, and if you don't know how to do them, just admit it.

Until you realize that what this girl wanted was "rose gold with some hidden low lights of pink and purple."
All she can do is wash it dozens of times and wait for it to fade.
Clearly, the only option after this giant failure is to just shave all the hair off and try again another time. Good for him.
Why would they put color on the roots when clearly, it's supposed to be on the ends? This one makes me irrationally angry.

The salon assured this girl that her hair wasn't that dark, and color would show up just fine without bleaching it.
