15+ Homes That Are The Definition Of Bad Taste

Home decorating is definitely an art form, or at least it can be when done right. On the other hand, when things go wrong they can really ruin a seemingly great place.

So, to prevent you from making some huge decorating mistakes I've listed a few horrible examples that you really should stay away from. Take a look at these and you'll thank me later.

1. This Bathroom Decor

What in the heck? Why did anyone think this was inviting bathroom decor? I can't understand the reasoning behind any of these pieces. Can you?

2. This Beer Can Aesthetic

Reddit | lifeinpinkk

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you a house that's been decorated with 75,000 empty Fosters cans. It does exist. Imagine the noise in the rain!

3. This Bass Overkill

I think even a musician extraordinaire would have something to say about the choice of this decor here. My only question is, why in the kitchen?

4. This Monstrosity

Reddit | meowchickawowwow

I honestly don't know where to begin here. The staircase is giving me the heebie-jeebies. And then there's the gun collection in the far back. WTF.

5. This Couch

Okay, I think I have officially found the ugliest couch I have ever seen. And this mustard color isn't doing it any more favors. LOL!

6. This Pattern

This is what happens when you really get obsessed with a particular pattern and you have absolutely no self control. None, whatsoever. Just walk away already.

7. This Fakeness

Imgur

Here's the perfect example of someone who's trying way too hard to be good at this house decorating thing. The flooring was overkill... Actually this whole room is just overkill.

8. These Toilet Seat Covers

Reddit | hernameisDAEM

This is the epitome of class, isn't it? Why do these toilet seat covers remind me of some sort of church decoration? A bit much? Also...this cannot be sanitary. Yikes!

9. This Rug

Reddit | iahimide

Is it just me or does this look like Colonel Sanders? What I'm trying to understand is whether they're actual fans or really hate the guy.

10. This Finger Planter

Reddit | icanhasbukkit

Houseplants are all the rage right now, but this finger planter is too creepy for words. Please, do not buy this. Buy one of the hundreds of cute planters available on Etsy instead.

11. This '50s Diner-Themed Bathroom

Reddit | Czechs_out

Um, what is going on here? I guess whoever lives here really loves the aesthetic of a 1950s diner. A bit random, but I guess everyone has their preferences.

12. This Bed

I love everything about this room — except the bed. Maybe it's just me because I'm definitely not a foot person. So this bothers me tremendously.

13. This Depressing Design

To me, this looks like a bathroom that's just foreshadowing the couple who own this house separating and needing their space in a shared bathroom. So sad.

14. This "Wet" Toilet Seat

Reddit | microwave_head

Why would anyone buy a toilet seat cover that makes it look like your toilet is always wet? I'm sorry, but that's just gross. It's not even something I want to think about. Next!

15. This Stone Bed

Reddit | Necrojerk

I have so many questions about this bed. Is it really made out of stones? Is it comfortable to sleep on? How much does it weigh? Can someone answer these for me before I lose my mind?

16. This Rust Bed Set

Reddit | severedhalf

It took me a moment to figure out what I was looking at here. To be honest, I thought this comforter was supposed to look like a cheese pizza, but apparently, it's a rust print. That's cool...

17. This Bathroom Decor

Um, thanks for spelling it out for me. Like I really need to know what exactly goes on in the bathroom that I already don't know about. Perhaps this is a message for their kids?

18. This Mirror Placement

This is another head-scratcher here. What is the point of the mantle above the sink? Then there's the fact that you need to jump up to see the mirror. There is no logic in this design.

19. This Leopard Decor Choice

Okay, I gotta admit, I do love me some leopard print, but I would never go so bold as to put it all over my walls. That's total overkill if you ask me. Ugh. Yuck.

20. This Overkill

And speaking of overkill, I think this is a tad bit too much. Don't you think? If I lived here I would feel like it was a museum or something like that. I'm way too clumsy to have this type of decor.

21. This Upside Down Door

I dunno if these people know that their door is upside down, but I'm not about to tell them that. Ha, ha! It might actually work out for them if they have a dog, though.

22. This Butterfly Surprise

Well, this is a surprise. I can't say I've ever seen a toilet cover like this one before. I wonder what kind of aesthetic they were going for here. Anyone wanna guess? This is quite odd.

23. This Hot Tub

Wow, judging by the little space in this bathroom, these people are huge fans of hot tubs. I mean, they pretty much sacrificed every inch of this space just to fit this thing in. That's commitment.

24. This Centerpiece

Speaking of badly designed bathrooms, what in the heck is going on here? I mean, I really like the view outside but I'm more worried about what's going on inside to care. I just don't get this.

25. These Drapes

Not only are these drapes pretty horrendous looking (that flower pattern is so yesterday), but why in the world would they hang them up like this? They need some serious help decorating their place. LOL!

26. This Time Warp

Reddit | Gudgrim

"Just a little touch of marble and gold," they said. Then I guess the decorator unleashed this on them. Wouldn't this feel like you're living in a museum?

27. This Hay Chandelier

Reddit | AVCTheDon24

I get that some people really love rustic decor, but this might be taking it too far. It looks like literal farm equipment hanging from the ceiling.

These examples of home decor prove the saying that "there's no accounting for taste" is true.

But they're not fooling me here, so better luck next time to these decorators and their homes.
