35 People Who Learned Their Lesson

As we grow, we learn and adapt to the world around us. It is one of the main elements of being a functioning human in this world. However, while this mostly applies to learning about things like doing your taxes, how to interact with one another, and using basic household appliances, there are some people out there who need help with more specific things.

These are the people who don't realize the damage that dog excrement and a Roomba can cause, and don't understand the necessity of specificity when dropping off your dog at the barber. So, with this in mind, here are 18+ people who definitely learned their lesson!

"Local doggie daycare learned a valuable lesson about leaving a Roomba in the reception area."

Reddit | jacksonkeirmclean

This dog is very close to drawing a pentagram in its poop, and as far as satanic symbols go, a pentagram in poop is a pretty bad one!

"My wife didn't like me borrowing the step ladder for work. She bought one and it now bears a warning."

Reddit | figarojew

Go on... just take it one more time and see what happens. I'm only egging you on because I want to see the next picture which is you curled up in a ball around the ladder's feet.

"So my grade 5 son had his 'the birds and the bees' lesson at school today. Needless to say he wasn't impressed."

Reddit | grd601

I think that they may think it is gross. "I've learned enough" is also most men's approach to sex ed at any stage.

"My girlfriend appreciated the effort over the execution."

Reddit | IndianaCostanza

They should have just cut it into a heart shape, as it's not far off anyway. Unless, there are even more mistakes made on the inside, and when you cut into it it's just raw eggs and flour.

"Lesson learned. Be very specific when explaining how you want your dog be groomed. Dropped off a shitzu, picked up a llama."

Reddit | batmanfantasy

Now that is a dog who knows exactly how much he has been screwed over here.

"Sister learned a valuable lesson this Christmas: If you let your older brother take an ugly picture of you, you will get it on a custom color-changing mug."

Reddit | Alomba87

And, for next year's mug, it will have a picture on it of her getting the first mug I hope ⏤ to turn it into a real mug-ception kind of situation.

"I had pizza delivered, I set it down on my patio table for one minute and came back to this."

Reddit | Xanthoszephyrusclang

I mean, it is a box and it is nice and warm... of course a cat is going to sit on it! You brought this upon yourself son!

"Instant karma, Front yard Frosty with tree trunk base teaches KY driver a valuable lesson."

Reddit | Tallie1379

Look, if you're the kind of asshole who drives onto people's yards and into their snowmen, then you deserve absolutely everything coming to you.

Who Wants Recorder Lessons?

Reddit | OfficialDampSquid

It looks like the only person who took a ticket actually only took the "thanks" and left the "no" so they may actually want recorder lessons? They must live with someone who is deaf.

"Today's lesson in irony."

Reddit | BuckStrickland

Thus proving that no one is above the law. Hopefully, now these parking enforcement people will stop abusing their power!

"Saw this pillow for sale on Etsy. I think the Chinese manufacturer needs a English lesson."

Reddit | Soxfan21

Nope, absolutely nothing wrong here, I much prefer this version to the original song. I will also now be referring to my cat as a "little ball of fut" from now on. I've no idea what it means, and I don't care.

"Roommate is about to learn a valuable lesson in grammar."

Reddit | mjc462

Please accept these caramels as a sacrifice to the gods of grammar, who must be appeased lest their furious rage rain down upon the Earth.

"Lesson learned- don't trust just any tourist to take your photo."

Reddit | batmanfantasy

Another life lesson learned should also be not to take annoyingly cliche photographs when you're on holiday.

"Guy parked like a jackass. We taught him a lesson he will remember."

Reddit | Mcbanjo

There's, of course, the only worry that this person will just smash their way out like the asshat that they clearly are.

"Roommate dug a little snow cave on our deck to teach his cat a lesson about trying to escape."

Reddit | War_Eagle

That is a cat that knows it has messed up, yet doesn't want to have to admit that it has made a mistake. I can hear the angry meowing through this picture.

"Lesson of the Day: Always read the card you buy for your wife more than once..."

Reddit | mpetrait

Thankfully, the person who posted this posted an update saying, "She laughed her ass off". Also, amazingly, another man wrote this comment, "I bought this same damn card for my wife. She also laughed her ass off. I thought I had done well, too."

Unfortunately, even the best ideas can turn embarrassing if the execution isn't there.

Reddit | BlankTranquility

Drawing a protractor around the arc of a door swinging is pretty clever and maybe even ingenious. But it's all for nothing if you trust the guy who doesn't even know which way the door actually opens to draw it.

Nice one, Larry.

Other than "dogs are unpredictable," I guess it's hard to tell what someone can actually learn from this one.

Reddit | RAKCFC7

Actually, I guess this teaches us that even smaller dogs can find a way to make cooking chaotic without meaning to.

Apparently, the boss often brings their kid into work and the time came to teach the youngster the rules of the road.

Reddit | Jamiethecomic

Hey, the sooner the kid learns this, the less likely they are to park like a jerk when they get a real Range Rover.

While one of the more ambitious Marvel movies may seem like a good choice for a long flight, there are hazards to watching that kind of a movie on a plane.

Reddit | cinemassacress

As we can see here, the captain interrupted this screening of Avengers: Infinity War at the worst possible time and only prolonged somebody's suffering.

And I don't mean Spider-Man's.

As mad as we might get, we can make things much easier for ourselves if we remember that it's not the door's fault.

Reddit | large-gurthy-wang

Because this expresses pretty clearly that once we slam it shut or fling it open too hard, we'll only give ourselves more things to worry about.

When this person went snooping, they learned that personal videos should stay that way.

Reddit | araja123khan

I'm not sure what they expected to find, but not respecting their nephew's privacy only netted them a video of him picking his nose.

Not much of a gain, is it?

As this man learned, there's a bit of problem with how nylon hammocks are made.

Reddit | FireflyRebellion

If the area you live in is dry enough, it can rob nylon of its strength and you of what was once a perfectly good hammock.

Apparently, this is the result of somebody's two-year-old son practicting his throwing skills.

Reddit | wed_niatnuom

And although he's certainly coming along in terms of strength, he's obviously got a long way to go in terms of recognizing appropriate places to do this.

Fortunately, the computer apparently still worked as only the glass was broken here.

Yeah, even the most well-intentioned among us have to draw the line somewhere.

Reddit | KatyVonDoll

As disappointing as it is not to hear what exactly forced this policy changed, it's good to see that they took the lesson to heart.

Hopefully, this person now understands the pitfalls of pre-judging people.

Reddit | praziquantel

After all, this idea would lose a lot of its magic if the rock said, "Shine on, but only on this specific patch of grass."

This is not only a clever way to secure some peace for yourself, but it leaves the kids with something to think about.

Reddit | 4musing_User_Name

Namely, that most of the issues that seem like big deals right now are a lot easier to solve than they think.

I also feel like I would learn just how predictable I am from this.

This person may have learned their lesson already, but there's enough catnip there to make this kitty keep teaching for hours.

Reddit | TongueBandit69

And what knowledge has this person come away with? It turns out that their cat is way better at opening cabinets than they thought.

Well, it's pretty clear that somebody is going to need a few more lessons.

Reddit | Deadly_R

Figuring out which pedal does what is a simple and basic part of the process, but we can clearly see that it's an important one.

A lot of parents right now are learning that just because the barber makes it look easy, that doesn't mean it is easy.

Reddit | Spookyredd

Apparently, this haircut attempt ended before things got too out of hand. At least the kid seems to be handling it pretty well.

I'm not sure if this person intended this to sound as ominous as it does, but I guess it's good advice nonetheless.

Reddit | RoachOnATree0116

And although we're being cautioned not to buy "anything" from the "little men" on the corner, it looks like that goes double for TVs.

"My wife left me with the baby yesterday morning. Lesson learned; don't reply with just a photoshopped picture when she asks how things are going with the baby."

Reddit | FeedBack20

That is one hell of a good photoshopping job! No wonder their wife was alarmed!

"He didn't appreciate the note..."

Reddit | mossale

As much as the temptation is to be sarcastic with lazy delivery drivers, sadly all it does is make them less likely to actually drop off your package.

"An important lesson was learned today..."

Reddit | jandj275

The lesson here being, always wind down your windows when you're parked in front of a hydrant in case there is a fire... oh wait, no, it's don't be a dick!

"These pictures tell a very clear story."

Reddit | SoodSood44

I like how to get that authentic feel, they took that left photo on what looks like any terribly pixelated camera phone from the early 2000s. Now that reminds me of my childhood.
