Wife Gets Revenge On Her Husband With Hysterical Fake Grocery List

Why is it that men can't seem to navigate through a grocery store to save their lives? I don't mean to sound stereotypical, but one thing we women are good at is grocery shopping.

This woman got so annoyed with her husband for being lazy that she sent him to the grocery store with a fake shopping list and it's absolutely hilarious. Revenge is sweet.

I think we can all agree that grocery shopping straight-up sucks sometimes.

You'd think it would be more fun considering there's food involved, but that's sadly not the case. Instead, it's a lot of wandering the store, searching for things you need, and waiting in line to check-out.

To top it off, this chore seems to fall primarily to the women of the household.

Men are definitely starting to help out with the weekly shop more and more, but for many families, it's the women who trek out with their weekly shopping lists.

A popular parenting blogger, Karen Alpert of Baby Sideburns, got annoyed with her hubby lounging on the couch one day while she was busy doing the usual errands and chores.

Does this situation sound familiar to anyone?

Karen didn't appreciate how her husband spent an entire morning on the couch.

"OMG my hubby has been lying on the couch all morning while I’m doing soooo much stuff so I finally got super annoyed and sent him to the grocery store...with a special shopping list," Karen wrote on Facebook.

So, she came up with a clever scheme to send him to the grocery store with a fake shopping list as revenge.

Let this be a lesson to all the husbands out there: There's no revenge quite like the revenge from an annoyed wife.

Ha, ha! Take a look at the items she included on this "special" shopping list.

It's subtle, but that's what makes this scheme so clever.

Before you start scratching your head at some of these items, let me explain.

No, there's no such thing as "Mellow Cheese" or "Diet, Diet Coke." That's what makes this plan so genius!

Can you imagine searching through the grocery aisles in a panic because you can't find any of the items on the list since they don't actually exist? LOL!

This poor husband.

I can picture this poor husband doing just that and asking every store employee to help him out, only to get blank stares in return.

I'm sure it was a shopping trip to remember.

Then, when he was getting nowhere with the store employees, I can just imagine him texting his wife every five minutes asking her where to find this stuff.

He was probably getting pretty desperate.

Only she did him one better.

She turned her phone's ringer off precisely for that purpose. OMG, isn't that funny but also a little evil at the same time?

She was so proud of herself for pulling such a genius prank on her husband that she just had to share it with her 340,000 Facebook fans and they loved it.

Because, who hasn't wanted to do this to their husband?

In fact, to this day her post has received about 68,000 likes, 19,000 comments, and approximately 58,000 shares.

How about that for going viral? Wow, that's pretty impressive indeed.

The comments she received were mostly from other women laughing hysterically and saying how genius this idea was.

Many of them said they would love to do this to their husbands, too.

She might've given other women a brilliant idea to get back at their husbands, so don't be surprised if you see a lost man in a grocery store near you.

If he's looking for the "Diet, Diet Coke," you know why he's there.

I really love this woman's reply.

It looks like she's already planning a revenge plot of her own thanks to Karen's idea. I feel bad for this unsuspecting husband. LOL!

But ladies, make sure your husband doesn't see this post!

If only this husband wasn't trolling his wife on her Facebook, this would have been an epic prank for sure. Oh well, next time keep it a secret. Wink, wink.

One thing remains unanswered, what actually happened at the grocery store?

What did her husband end up bringing home? It looks like I'm not the only one left wondering. Ha, ha.

So what do you think of this prank?

Is this something you would resort to doing? Or do you think she went too far and was a bit too cruel?
