Our brains are constantly processing visual information. Some of it's valuable, while much of it is pretty well useless. In any event, there's stuff that we're bound to miss — and, conversely, stuff we process that we wish we'd missed.

Just to add a little bit more to your brain's visual buffet, feast your eyes on these images. Your brain can decide which ones are worth remembering.

"My row of seats was given the green light to smoke on the airplane this weekend. All others I could see were still prohibited!"

reddit | conrob98

I'm assuming this is either a glitch on the airline's part, or some kind of random jackpot for smokers on the flight.

"Hotel stores their automated lawnmower in a dog house."

reddit | YOUSHOUTEDTHIS

It stands to reason that there are lawnmower versions of Roombas. It also stands to reason that they'd need to be protected from the elements. Still, I find it pretty delightful how the hotel's robot lawnmower has a cozy little nook to call home.

"The deer on my mom's property had an albino baby!"

reddit | Wallowingavacado

Albinism isn't particularly common in the animal kingdom. About 1 out of every 17,000 people have it (although we couldn't find a number for deer). It might not be good for this little deer's camouflage, but it certainly is striking.

"Found a caterpillar with penguins on it."

reddit | cybercuzco

If you ever see one of these cute penguin-themed caterpillars, you can wow anyone who's around by correctly identifying it as a forest tent caterpillar. Some people might call it an 'army worm,' but it's officially a forest tent 'pillar.

"The insoles of these shoes look like this tiled floor."

reddit | CandleExtension8704

When you look really close at these designs, they're not exactly the same. The colors are identical, but the shapes are subtly different. Still, it's fun when the floor matches your insoles — even though no one ever sees your insoles.

"Drove behind a van today with the warning 'Blind Man Driving.'"

reddit | i_need_coffee_

I'm both assuming and hoping that this warning sign is a joke. If it isn't a joke, it's downright scary. Even if it is a joke, it seems like kind of a bad one to make, even for a company that installs blinds.

"A peacock flew past me this morning on my way to work."

reddit | Impossible-Ad-

Peacocks are some of the weirdest birds you'll find outside of the tropics. If one of these things flew past you at speed, it would be hard to know what to make of it.

"Got some free socks with my pint."

reddit | The_Lonley_Climber

It's pretty common to get some sort of free pack-in with a six-pack of beer. Getting compostable beer-themed socks just for ordering a pint is an intriguing promotion. I wonder who'd ever want to compost their socks in the first place.

"My neighbor gave me a bottle of Ibuprofen he no longer wanted. It expired 19 years ago in May 2003."

reddit | SlaveToNone666

This is a good reminder of the importance of checking expiration dates. Then again, if the label is this yellowed, you can kind of assume that whatever's inside is long expired.

"In Portugal we have cell phone towers disguised as trees."

reddit | helloitsmeyesme

You'll occasionally see these cellular towers that think they're trees, and they never look quite right. I suppose they're less of an eyesore than a plain white tower, but the effect always feels off.

"The model in my biology textbook has a tattoo."

reddit | Qqqsc

It's a good idea to normalize tattoos, considering the fact that body art is getting more and more popular in the 21st century. Thirty-six percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 have at least one tattoo.

"The path taken by a snail."

reddit | DiaGear

While it's interesting to see the snail's exact path, it's also befuddling. What is this snail up to? Where is it going? Why is it taking so long to get there? This is clearly a snail that needs to get its act together.

"The gap between my window and shades made the perfect glowing little number 1."

reddit | Waterbots

There are two types of people in the world: those who would see this and shrug, and those who would see it and post it on Reddit for internet points.

"A school (?) of jellyfish congregated under this boat."

reddit | pants35

Just because I was curious, I looked up the name for a group of jellyfish. 'School' is a good guess, but the actual term is bloom or swarm. Generally, larger groups are referred to as a swarm.

"Found in my rental car."

reddit | vanillasnovv

Those little dot patterns on the edge of car windows are instantly forgettable, but add a little Jeep silhouette into the mix and things get far more interesting. I'd be looking for more Easter eggs in this car.

"The pool float my wife bought me came in a box with instructions on how to turn it into a castle."

reddit | nikemater

Does every big cardboard box need to be turned into a castle? Probably not. Is it fun to turn them into castles? Absolutely. That's why it's nice that this company included instructions.

"Deodorant I just bought has a little ship on it."

Old Spice deodorant features ship design on top of stick
reddit | iheartmycheez

I've never really understood why Old Spice leans so heavily into its nautically-inspired branding. Either way, at this point it's very much Old Spice's trademark, so it's cool to see this attention to detail.

"The motherboard of an Xbox One X has a little picture of Master Chief riding a scorpion."

reddit | MegaDroogie

Master Chief is to Xbox what Mario is to Nintendo, so this little nod to the iconic Halo hero makes a lot of sense.

"I'm DYING. Who put Lil Nas X in the wall of honor at Walmart?"

Lil Nas X might be a hero for his pioneering role in the music industry, but I'm not so sure he belongs on a Walmart board dedicated to military heroes.

"Amazing what you spot on the way to work."

I'm not sure if I'm the right person to decipher Danger Mouse lore, but here goes: this is a post box on Baker Street in London, and apparently it is indeed the home of Danger Mouse.
