20 Pics That Are More Satisfying Than A Bed With Fresh Sheets

In this world, we need to hang onto the little joys as much as possible. Sliding into a freshly-made bed with clean sheets, looking at an untouched bank of freshly-fallen snow. Stuff like that.

This list is full of things that are strangely satisfying, seemingly made out of pure joy. I don't think I've felt this Zen in a long time.

"An Oriental Poppy."

A closeup of an oriental poppy that hasn't opened yet.
reddit | Arrigerre

Flowers are honestly so cool. Sometimes, they make strange, unconventional shapes. Other times, they're specimens of perfect symmetry. It's amazing to think that something this amazingly symmetrical and deeply colorful can exist in nature. So cool!

"Hotel Hallway Corridor."

A hallway with lights around the walls and ceilings at intervals between rooms.
reddit | thesuavedog

That's so insanely cool! It's got to be, like, the most satisfying optical illusion ever. If it even is an optical illusion.

Look, I may not know what's going on here, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.

"This tiny avocado seed."

An avocado that's been cut in half, exposing a tiny seed and a very smooth inside.
reddit | laurenovich

Oh man, look at all the surface area in that thing! Not to mention the avocado insides look so smooth. This feels like a true love letter specifically for avocado lovers (so, like, most of the world).

This snowflake.

A perfectly formed snowflake hanging from a clump of snowflakes.
reddit | Arrigerre

I don't know about you, but I just love looking at zoomed in pictures of snowflakes. It's just like looking at a really pretty flower; thinking about the fact that this kind of stuff forms naturally is so awesome.

"Oil in the parking lot."

A clump of oil puddles reflecting different colours on a piece of pavement.
reddit | jjp8732

Oil puddles on the ground may not be the best thing for the environment, but they always make for the prettiest pictures. I mean, just look at all those different colors!

Hopefully someone cleans it up, though.

"Took the time outta my day to do this in my art class."

A red container filled with pencil sharpeners of equal size and shape, organized by colour (red, yellow, green, and blue) to make six uniform rows.
reddit | Buxikiksa1599

This is actually kind of mesmerizing. Like, I'm trying to look away, but I just can't. Too bad there aren't an equal amount of each color of pencil sharpener, or else this could've been even more satisfying.

"Hand sharpening a brand new pencil."

A green pencil sharpener that's being used to sharpen a pencil, with the shavings still attached to one another.
reddit | Siggysternstaub

As it turns out, organizing pencil sharpeners isn't the only way to get satisfaction from them. Actually using them for their intended purpose (and not having any of the shavings break apart) is just as satisfying!

"The Foam level on this Coffee."

A white mug filled with a white and light brown foam that goes right up to the rim.
reddit | uncutpizza

This is so incredible, it's actually making me a little sad. Sad because I can't reach into my screen and grab that mug for myself. I guess I'm gonna have to make my own coffee with perfect foam levels...

"This stack of 500 decals I made at work."

Several stacks of paper on top of one another.
reddit | Kdean509

I don't know what's actually on any of those decals, and I kind of don't care. The bottom line is that this stack is pretty awesome to just look at.

"M&M ice cream sandwich perfection."

A cookie covered with exactly 9 M&Ms arranged in a circle (with one in the centre).
reddit | sweepsml

This is, like, the opposite of any ice cream sandwich or cookie you ever find in the wild. It's... perfect. Nothing's missing. I feel like it might almost be too perfect. Like, how can you just eat that?

"I've been spring cleaning and tackled my Tupperware cupboard."

An open drawer full of Tupperware containers and lids that are perfectly organized by size.
reddit | RemorsefulArsonist

There's honestly nothing more satisfying than cleaning up your home and having everything nice and organized. Too bad this level of organization never lasts, and eventually turns back into chaos.

"I sorted my standard edition games into an alphabetical stack, and they fit into the cabinet PERFECTLY!"

A stack of PC games next to a stack of PS4 games, which sits perfectly in a shelf.
reddit | GlassHurricane98

I just love it when a stack of books or video game cases fits perfectly in a shelf. You'd almost think some shelves were specifically designed for these things.

"A lighthouse on a rainy night."

A lighthouse among two buildings against a consistently grey, cloudy sky.
reddit | Anders-Nyholm

There's something really satisfying about this shot. I think it might be the fact that everything is one color, and the fact that the clouds look so consistent. It's just really nice to look at.

"This cat in front of a stained glass window."

A cat sitting against a stained glass window, which is reflecting different coloured spots onto the cat's fur.
reddit | Planet0259-S

I guess this is the only way to get a rainbow cat without actually dyeing your cat's fur (with animal-safe dye, of course). So cool and mesmerizing, and it doesn't seem like the cat cares.

"Parked in just the right way so that both doors can open all the way without touching [the post]."

Two car doors that open just inches away from a post in a driveway.
reddit | anged16

I just love it when I park my car so well, it fits perfectly into its spot. This is equally as cool, since there's a pesky post that could get in the way, but somehow doesn't.

"Shadows and shading being used on a mosaic to create artificial depth."

A floor mosaic with fish in it. The design also features shadows, making it look like actual fish are swimming in the mosaic.
reddit | Noble_Nobody

This is one of those things you literally can't step on. Sure, those aren't real fish and there's no real water, but how could you step on such satisfying art?

"The pattern I made in this cheese while grating it."

A hand holding a wedge of cheese next to a grater. A pattern is on the surface of the cheese, from the grater.
reddit | DonSmo

Man, that's so cool! Like, who would've thought doing something as simple as grating cheese could create such an amazing pattern? I, for one, am so glad this picture exists.

"Chips lined up like books."

Shelves full of chip bags that have been arranged sideways, uniform and orderly.
reddit | thesuavedog

Now this is the kind of bookshelf I can get behind! Neat, orderly, tidy, and full of chips! Too bad you can, like, never get a grocery store chip section to look this nice for very long...

"A double rainbow."

Two rainbows above a group of houses in a rain-covered neighbourhood.
reddit | A-Aron-Rod-gers

I've only ever seen a double rainbow once in my life and it caused me to drive by dozens of people who'd parked at the side of the road to take pictures of it. But, like, I didn't blame them.

"Shirakawa-go village in Gifu in the winter at night."

A snow covered village at night, with lights illuminating house windows and streets.
reddit | konnichiwaasoko

Winter may be cold and somewhat depressing, but anything covered in snow always looks awesome. A whole village covered in snow? That's just the icing on an already awesome cake.
