20 Things That Come In Surprising Sizes

I love it when something is smaller or bigger than it normally is. There's so much comedy to that concept alone. I couldn't tell you why, but you can probably see what I mean.

So yeah, this list is kind of cracking me up right now. But at the same time, looking at these oddly-sized items is pretty cool!

"This extra large egg in my carton."

A large egg among a carton of normal-sized eggs.
reddit | mitsim1000

I'm not gonna lie, if I opened an egg carton for the first time and saw one that was randomly bigger than the others, I'd probably burst out laughing. It's just so ridiculous.

"Found a Gigantic Blue Rubber Ducky when my parents drove me to Townsville."

A large, blue rubber duck atop a building.
reddit | PowerfulButterfly185

Giant rubber duckies are fun enough, but a blue one? That's on a whole new level of exciting. It's like, probably the weirdest thing I'm going to see today.

"Conjoined grapes."

Several grapes conjoined to make one large grape.
reddit | gasp1324657980

I guess this is technically a bunch of grapes stuck together, and not actually a big grape. But the way I see it, it's a big grape. I will not be taking questions at this time.

"Found a tiny seemingly ripe orange."

A hand holding an incredibly tiny orange, about the size of a grape.
reddit | Slash428

This is probably the cutest orange that has ever existed. Even if it does look like it's about to make the world's most disappointing glass of orange juice (there's, like, nothing there!).

"I found this tiny feather from my bird."

A finger with an incredibly tiny feather on it.
reddit | aka_quinn

I don't know much about birds, so I have no idea why one would have such a tiny feather. All I know is that this feather is smol.

I wonder what the bird it came from looks like.

"A random, big ice diamond by the road. My lighter for scale."

A large, diamond shaped chunk of ice next to a cigarette lighter.
reddit | Smile_S77

I have no idea what that chunk of ice is doing there, but it's still kind of cool. I wish we knew exactly how it got formed. Then again, some things are better left as mysteries.

"There was a bag of tiny dice inside my bar of soap."

A hand holding both a bar of soap and a bag of tiny dice.
reddit | joekriv

Not even just a regular six-sided die, either. There are literally dice with all sorts of sides in there.

But... what were they doing in a soap bar? And why does that soap look like chocolate?

"This tiny battery outputs the same voltage as a car battery."

A tiny battery in a person's hand.
reddit | Chemonaut

According to the comment section, you couldn't actually use a battery like this one to power a car. But it's still cool to think about how a lot of energy can be stored in such a tiny thing.

"A tiny knife my gf has."

The palm of a hand with a tiny knife on it.
reddit | frostedblade469

I have to wonder, what would you actually use such a tiny knife for? I don't think you can even hold it, it's that small. But maybe it would make a cool pendant?

"Me demonstrating how big traffic signals actually are."

A man standing next to two traffic lights, both of which are taller than he is.
reddit | LivingGhost371

The fact that this guy's hair and shirt match the lights aside, this is really cool. Traffic lights look so small from so high up, but I guess they have to be super big if you're going to be able to see them from far away.

"This tiny sink."

A sink that's so small, a person's hand outstretched is just as wide as it.
reddit | Chofferth

That sink is so small, it makes me wonder how you'd actually wash your hands in it. But I guess it would be really great for a bathroom that doesn't have a lot of space to work with.

"Giant strawberry I found."

A hand holding an absurdly large strawberry.
reddit | LuigiIsYourMainBoi

This strawberry is probably the biggest one I've ever seen! I bet it could win a ribbon in a county fair or something.

Too bad it probably doesn't taste that good (the smaller ones are always sweeter).

"The giant shadow of this spider on my house."

A shadow made from a spider. The shadow, which is along a house wall, looks massive.
reddit | clubidiot97

I'm genuinely sorry to everyone who's about to have nightmares of a giant spider on their house (myself included). But you have to admit, that huge shadow is absolutely wild!

"A giant tire I saw on I94 near Detroit."

A truck carrying a tire that's wider than the truck's bed.
reddit | musicfromadventures

What are tires that big even used for? Monster trucks? Those big machines at construction sites?

According to the Reddit comments for this post, it's probably for some sort of mining truck.

"This giant box of Tic-Tacs full of tiny ones."

A large TicTac box filled with several mini boxes.
reddit | Gunter951

I'm not gonna lie, this thing is throwing me for a loop right now. Looking at the microwave in the background is kind of helping me get a sense of scale, though. And wow, that box is huuuge.

"This bathroom has a small door for kids built into a regular sized door."

A door complete with a smaller door that kids or short people could open.
reddit | alinac16

This kind of reminds me of cartoons where there's a castle that has a ridiculously huge door, and then a normal-sized door inside of it that people actually use. Cute.

"This tomato that looks like 6 small tomatoes infused as one."

A cross section of a large tomato that looks like it's filled with several tiny tomatoes.
reddit | prettypanzy

Is this a weirdly big tomato, or several weird, small tomatoes? Either way, it's kind of strange to look at. But I'm sure it tastes just like a normal tomato.

"Someone told me that I have a thumb that looks too long and now I can't unsee it..."

A hand with an abnormally long thumb.
reddit | Anna820yx

Yeah... that's a pretty long thumb. Nothing wrong with that, though!

It's amazing how our hands and fingers can look so different from person to person.

"This giant blueberry I found today."

A hand holding onto an abnormally large blueberry.
reddit | meadilicious

To be honest, this blueberry almost looks photoshopped. Like, it's just so big that it seems unreal.

It also just so happens to be incredibly cool, so I can't really complain too much.

"The Tiniest Bodega I’ve ever seen on the corner of this massive building in NYC."

A block of large buildings, complete with a tiny bodega to the side of one of them.
reddit | Bacon_Moustache

I didn't even think something like this could be possible! I bet the capacity in that bodega is, like, three people. Maybe even less than that.
