I'm a firm believer in the old phrase, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Because some people never should. And it seems like they can't, in any case.
And that rings true in this list. It's hard to know what these people were thinking when they made these highly questionable DIY projects, but there's no going back now.
Welp, this sink probably won't leak ever. It also probably won't be moving any time soon, though I'm not sure that's an entirely good thing.
I want to think that there are bylaws that keep you from doing things like this. And if not, I'm formally running for city council for wherever this is so I can pass a bylaw to stop this person from doing this.

I'm not an electrician, but even I know that this is both wrong and dangerous. Probably one of the worst parts about house hunting: passing through a house where it's clear the owner did the electrical themselves.

I think the worst part about this picture is the fact that there's a pallet full of cinderblocks off to the left of the bench. They could've made a decent, rustic kind of bench with those. And they chose toilets. Toilets.
I get that everyone is trying to do away with plastic straws since they're the world's worst pollutant or whatever, but this is probably the worst way to recycle them. One way or another, those straws are going to end up in the garbage.
Everyone knows that cheaper almost never means better. I guess lack of quality doesn't matter to some people, though. Still, if this were my landlord's solution to an electrical problem, I'd be trying to move.
To be honest, painted glass can look really nice. Just not in this case.

See, this is perfectly fine if it really is just intended to be a temporary fix. Because sometimes you need to get creative. The problem is, there are people out there who would do this, and then just leave it. Hopefully OP got their pipe fixed for real.

To be honest, I think reclaimed pallets make for good outdoor furniture. This, on the other hand, is just terrifying. The fact that it's on wheels is making it so much worse.

I'm not gonna lie, this one broke me. I don't get why you would do this, and think it was a clever solution. Replacing the door would probably be more cost effective in the long run.
