20 People Who Souped Up Their Cars In Ways That Made Them Look Dumb

There are some people out there who really, really like their cars. To the point where they give them all sorts of "improvements." Sometimes, it looks okay, but there are a lot of times where it just doesn't.

And, as you probably guessed, the souped up cars in this list are... well, they just aren't all that nice.

The cow car.

How do you get people to know that you're really into dairy while also letting them know you're really into cars? Make your car look like a cow, apparently.

"Spotted by a friend. Not quite sure what is going on here."

A car with its top half missing, and replaced by metal railing that looks like a canopy bed frame.
Reddit | SpeedRac3rr

Why does this look like a canopy bed frame? Like, it literally looks like you could stick a mattress in there and call it a day.

I don't even want to think about what happens when it starts raining.

"Absolute masterpiece in my hometown."

A green, Shrek themed car in a Burger King parking lot.
Reddit | NaugaKuuvo

It's kind of hard to see from the picture, but the writing on the windshield says, "All hail Shrek." This is a Shrek car. I hate it, but I love it at the same time.

More than meets the eye.

A racecar in a driveway. It has white and blue parts on it, as well as the Transformers Decepticon logo printed on it.
Reddit | gatabubble

To be honest, I kind of hate when people drive around in literal race cars. But this one has got to be worse than any of the ones I've seen in my life. It honestly just makes me sad.

You have to show 'em you mean business.

Three Toyota Prius cars with large, monster truck-like wheels.
Reddit | ohkittykat

I have to say, these cars are really... horrible. I get that people think the Prius is a really lame car, but this is the exact opposite of how you should be trying to make them cool.

"Galaxy.... Explorer?"

A Ford Explorer SUV with a purple nebula decal all along the bottom half.
Reddit | BrokenThrottle

This is honestly pretty inoffensive all things considered (I mean, it could be a lot worse). But something about the galaxy print is making me so mad. Maybe because we left that fad back in 2014.

See you later, alligator.

A long limo-like vehicle with an open back and a gator design all over it.
Reddit | oogleboof

To be fair, this would be a pretty fun car for, like, a zoo tour or something. But I would absolutely hate to see this thing driving down the street for no good reason.

I... don't know how to feel right now.

Several cars in a driveway. Each one is decorated with anime decals.
Reddit | De_Vermis_Mysteriis

There ain't nothing wrong with liking anime, but this might be taking it too far. Seeing one of these on the street would probably trigger my fight or flight response.

How to keep people from stealing your car:

A car that's been decorated to look like it's covered in rust and blood.
Reddit | FatimaMahmoud12

You might look at this car and wonder what fresh hell happened to it. But look closer and you'll see that it's decoration. At least it'll (probably) keep people from trying to steal it.

When a regular pickup just isn't long enough:

A blue pickup truck where the cab and the back trailer have been separated, and reattached to make room for a long flat piece in the middle.
Reddit | K0EN1G5EGG

I'm trying to imagine this thing in any given parking lot and it's making me cry real tears. As if pickup trucks don't already take up too much space.

Racing to the big day.

Reddit | cryptk42

I guess this is the kind of limo you take to a really fancy racetrack? I don't know why, but the energy in this picture is vaguely threatening.

"The army green really complements the dinosaur and galaxy pattern."

Reddit | Rose_The_Weeb

There's an absurd amount of stuff going on here. The galaxy print leading into the green. The random dragon head. I'm uncomfortable, and yet intrigued...

This car literally looks like it's floating...

A purple car with a slight ombre effect. The wheels are taller, making it higher up.
Reddit | Aqua2d

To be honest, the color is kinda pretty. Maybe too noticeable to want it on my own car, but nice to look at from afar.

The wheels, on the other hand. Those can go.

"A Prius work truck?"

A Prius with a modded back that resembles a pickup truck.
Reddit | PrettyFly4Wifi

I have a feeling a lot more people like Priuses than they might want to let on.

Either that, or they hate them so much, they make horrible modifications like this one.

"Found in São Paulo, Brazil. Look at these eyelashes!!"

A leopard print SUV with red accents on the wheel caps and the top. There are fake car eyelashes on the front headlights.
Reddit | juanitojones33

I think the worst part about this SUV is the fact that the red and the leopard (snake?) print don't even go together. The whole thing clashes!

I don't even know how to describe this one.

A car with a matte finish and a long, rectangular bumper.
Reddit | Br0dYaGa

Like... it's just so odd. I can't say I hate it, but I also definitely don't love it. It feels really uncanny valley for some reason.

"Spotted in our local Walmart parking lot."

A rusted car with license plates over the wheel areas and a pipe sticking out of the hood.
Reddit | timdh

This is probably the best example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should," that I've ever seen. For some reason, the fact that it was found in a Walmart parking lot seems fitting.

"Unicorn in the wild."

A car bedazzled with different coloured rhinestones and has a unicorn toy on top of the hood.
Reddit | BeyondanyReproach

I can't stop thinking about how much time it must've taken to decorate this car. Was it worth it? Not at all!

"Let me introduce you to the FordFordFordFordFord F150F150F150F150."

A Ford truck with multiple logos and various other items on the hood.
Reddit | Omaha419

I guess somebody out there was a bit of a collector, but then didn't know where to display their collection of... things. I guess there are worse things you could put on a vehicle. Right?

"Overcompensating much?"

A pickup truck with giant wheels, a skull decal on the back, and spiky metal balls hanging from it.
Reddit | G1prime

Everything about this truck is terrifying. The giant wheels. The bowling balls (?) on the back. The decal. Even the little family sticker is kind of creeping me out.
