Okay, there are plenty of reasons to want to just put 2017 behind you. There was Hurricane Harvey. And Hurricane Irma. And Hurricane Maria. Wildfires scorched large swaths of California. White supremacists marched in the streets. Mass shooters mowed down scores of innocent people. It was a bummer every time you opened your news feed. And we haven't even mentioned Trump!

But it wasn't a total write-off. Good people are still out there, doing good things! You just don't hear about them quite as often. So here we go, some of the coolest things people did to make 2017 less awful.
