Your Skin Will Thank You For This Vanilla Latte Massage Bar

Diply 24 Sep 2018

Lotion's nice, right? I mean, it generally serves its purpose. It can keep your skin soft in a no-muss, no-fuss kind of way.

But imagine if you could combine the softening powers of lotion with coffee. And what's more, rather than a messy, cumbersome lotion-dispensing bottle, you could combine everything into a bar that you could just easily rub all over your skin whenever you wanted.

Friend, have we got a project for you.

Gather up your ingredients, and let's get lathered up!

To start, melt the cocoa butter in a double boiler.

You should be able to find good, quality, plain cocoa butter at most drug stores. Or if you're a purist, you can find organic versions online.

Next, place the coffee grounds in a tea filter.

Tie off the tea filter and place it inside melted cocoa butter. The idea is to let the smell and oils of the coffee mix with the cocoa butter. Leave the coffee in for 20 minutes and and then remove it.

Place a layer of coffee beans along the bottom on the silicon mold.

Just cover the bottom of the mold with the beans, basically so that you can't see any space between the beans, but don't overfill your mold.

Pour in the melted mixture until the beans are covered and float to the top slightly. That's usually about halfway up the side of a cup.

Once you've finished every cup, leave everything to set overnight.
