Even though shopping at the mall or at big box stores can be fun, I've always preferred to spend my time browsing thrift shops and antique stores. The idea of finding something inexpensive and incorporating it into my home in a fun, unique way is just so exciting to me. And because of that, I'm a huge fan of seeing how others choose to upcycle and repurpose the secondhand items they come across.

1. DIY Desk Clock Birdhouse

What was once a simple, outdated desk clock is now the cutest birdhouse imaginable! In my mind, Sadie Seasongoods is the queen of upcycling, and this project of hers is just one of the many examples that supports this.
