As YouTuber careers cross the divide from internet fame to real fame, so do their personal lives. Names like Jeffree Star, Jake Paul, and Jaclyn Hill are now reported alongside the Kardashians. But for every success they have, so too come the controversies.

Whether it's Jake Paul jumping on top of a news van, or beauty YouTubers being exposed for alleged racial insensitivity, the list of internet celebrities who have made headlines is, like, depressingly long.

Let's go check out some of the worst messes.

Back when the Team 10 house was located in West Hollywood (and when the address was an open secret to fans), Jake Paul came under fire from his neighbors for literally setting a fire in his own backyard.

A local news outlet wanted to report on Jake's disturbances.

When KTLA showed up to ask Jake about the complaints his neighbors were making about his antics, he chose to jump on top of the news van and use outdated memes to appear edgy instead.

Sam Pepper joined forces with Colby Brock to stage a kidnapping. Yup, you read that right! Pepper and Colby kidnapped Colby and his best friend, Sam Golbach, and held them both "hostage."

In the disturbing video, you can hear Sam pleading for Colby's life. After Sam is sent into hysterics, Pepper and Colby then reveal that the entire thing was a prank on Sam. I hope Sam went and got new friends after that.
