14+ Times That Luck Wasn't On Anyone's Side

Diply 23 Jul 2018

There are a lot of things that divide people nowadays, but if there's one thing that unites us all, it's bad luck. We've all had to deal with those times the world said, "It's fine, I'm not mad" right before we got splashed by a car and pooped on by a bird.

So unless you own a casino in Las Vegas or found a leprechaun, I'm afraid you're just as likely to get luck on your side as these people were.

1. It's easy to see how this happened, but I'm a little surprised the driver never noticed this.

Reddit | Merytz

Because if the sound of scraping metal wasn't a clue, you'd think the fenderless car chasing them down and honking their horn would be.

Maybe that driver was in shock.

2. Well, I'm glad the doggo's comfortable, but I doubt that whoever owns this mattress will feel the same way.

And if this mattress was abandoned, whoever owns this dog is still in for some bad luck because it was probably abandoned for a reason.

3. Oof, luck definitely wasn't on the side of anyone involved in this situation.

Because while the wait staff counts all the quarters, whoever did this will probably see the post and think, "So we're only kind of acknowledging my $20 tip, huh?"

4. Aw, man. Even something that sounds lucky can be really disappointing once you see the big picture.

Especially if you're seeing a screw driven through your phone in that big picture right after somebody told you it was found.

I don't think the rightful owner's coming back.

5. Unless they were the first person that day to order McNuggets, their day is definitely not off to a good start.

Um...at least everything should be nice and hot when they finally get it?

Provided they don't just end up with five Happy Meal toys or something.

6. This definitely sucks for these guys, but it probably would've made things a lot easier if the Titanic capped out this early.

Reddit | chiefflerpynerps

I mean, a really big ship falling over in a harbor would probably cause a few problems, but they're not iceberg-level problems.

7. Even when this bathroom's busy, I think the line for that fountain will be just as big as it is now.

Reddit | QuesoTheHorseman

The only way this setup makes sense is if it was one architect's prank on anyone who doesn't notice where the pipes go.

8. I suppose there isn't much to do at this point besides say "wow" more times than Owen Wilson while you watch it melt.

Reddit | RIPMews

That way, any animal will probably be too weirded out by that performance to eat it themselves.

If you can't have it, nobody can!

9. Uh...so did this kid's parents take the photo before they started screaming in agony at this or what?

Reddit | ajallee

"Nah, I'll wait until I'm a nice, even 2000¥ in the hole before I start sobbing and take the scissors away from her."

10. Well, this seems like a reasonable request. After all, emergencies are usually carefully planned in advance and never happen out of nowhere, right?

Reddit | ShinigamiDady

"Yeah, sorry, heart attack? We're gonna have to reschedule you for another time. You can start up again once I find a phone."

11. You know how shopping carts will always have that one wheel that doesn't work right?

Reddit | SorenTheOwl123

Yeah, well let's just say we should be glad the same isn't usually true of road painting trucks. Otherwise, traffic would somehow get even more chaotic and honk-filled.

12. Ouch, I think it's safe to say this guy is more scared of her than she is of the ride.

Reddit | HellotoHorse

They tell us something like that whenever we encounter a snake, but neither party in that meeting is trying to rip each other's jowls off.

13. Hmm, it looks like somebody's dinner plans could've used a little more time at the drawing board.

Reddit | TacoLake

Or wherever people go to figure out whether their latest creation will be a spindly, plastic spider web or not.

At least the bread still seems fine?

14. I like how this cat looks less hurt and more like he's trying to figure out what just happened to him.

"So this plant gets a bunch of needles stuck in your teeth so you can't eat it, but humans still want it? Why?"

15. Ah-ha! I knew my policy not to trust any donut without a hole in it wouldn't steer me wrong.

Reddit | MustacheTM

The rest of y'all can keep your little fillings or whatever. I'm just gonna go to sleep tonight knowing nobody's ever putting beans in my donuts.

16. Aw, this poor lady just wanted to show off her cool and...luminous hairstyle, and this is the first reply she gets.

Reddit | BubblyYou

And no, I'm not saying it's inaccurate. But at least let a couple of friends gas her up before you come in with the tennis ball jokes.
